BUS PULLS INTO TAO

Bettis
Notably absent: Kordell Stewart. (Photo by Al Powers)

Kordell Stewart is still allowed to hang out with other Steelers. You’d think that wouldn’t be allowed after that whole being-Kordell-Stewart thing that went down in the ’90s, but there you go. Maybe Jerome Bettis just didn’t notice, because he, Stewart and Hines Ward celebrated the Bus’s 38th birthday Friday night at Tao inside The Venetian. They started in the private dining room for dinner before joining MMA fighters Gray Maynard, Ray Sefo and Jay Hieron at the club. The three Steelers ate at N9NE Steakhouse on Saturday.

Over at First inside Palazzo, Chef Charlie Trotter got a look at the foot-diameter Debranski Burger which will debut later this month. Because this is America, that’s why.

Eve inside Crystals saw Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em to perform a four-song set including “Kiss Me Thru the Phone,” “Turn My Swag On” and “All the Way Turnt Up.” Bryan Scott of the Buffalo Bills was there for his bachelor party along with the Rams’ Steven Jackson, Chamillionaire, Sliff Star and comics Alex Thomas and Joe Clair. WALE CHILLIN’ AT XS

Wale
MC Wall-E, however, mostly rhymes about being bummed about garbage. (Photo by Dan Mahoney)

Wale has been tearing it up around town all weekend, and he kept it going last night when he jumped on stage at XS inside Encore to do a few songs, including “Chillin’.” We were really excited when Wale had a song called “Dig Dug,” but were tremendously disappointed he never followed with hits like “Galaga,” “Centipede” and “Street Fighter II: Turbo Hyper Fighting Edition.”

Gabrielle Union was also at the show, hanging out at the owner’s table. She and Wale spoke after the show and took a few pictures.

HOUSEWIFE SIGNS LIT, NUDIE PICS

Bensimon

Recently naked Real Housewives of New York City star Kelly Bensimon spent time Saturday Assouline at Crystals signing copies of her books The Bikini Book, American Style and In the Spirit of the Hamptons, plus the March issue of Playboy, for which she appears on the cover. She also stopped into Laguna at Palazzo for a drink before heading to Lavo for dinner.

Now she just needs to give in to the inevitable and put out a book full of naked pictures. It can be a sequel. The No-Bikini Book.

Taye Digges was spotted at XS inside Encore, where Wynonna Judd was hanging out with Criss Angel and Carrot Top. Diggs later went to Drai’s, where he and Nelly were both in the VIP room. Although we would’ve enjoyed it tremendously if Angel and The Top went to hang out with Nelly and Diggs. We’re guessing it would’ve shattered the record for awkward silences and conversational false-starts. Click for more words and pictures »

KOURTNEY, DISICK KEEP THE PEACE

Dash
Scott Disick picked out his best American Psycho costume. (Photo by Scott Harrison | Retna)

Kourtney Kardashian hosted a party for her fashion line, Dash, Friday night at Jet inside The Mirage along with babydaddy Scott Disick, who took a page out of the Christian Bale playbook before he got dressed Friday night. Look at him. You can tell he agonized over his business cards before he settled on “bone.”

Over at XS, Ryan Seacrest dropped by for a stop at the owner’s table after having dinner next door at Botero. Also at the Encore spot were Tony Davolani of Dancing with the Stars and Full Throttle Saloon owner Michael Ballard. The Raiders’ Kirk Morrison came by to say hello to them. Ballard went with dinner at Botero, while Davolani saw Le Reve and ate at Sinatra.

Hines Ward had dinner at Nove Italiano inside the Palms before heading up to the Playboy Club, and then moved it over to Rain where the Rev. Run was on stage during Revolution. We saw someone rocking a Jam Master Jay at MAGIC last week, which was completely awesome, and makes it even more sad and poignant that Run was in full-on Adidas for his show. Now, if you’ll excuse us, we pretty much have to go listen to Raising Hell right now. Click for more words and pictures »

BURKE DOES TABLETOP TWO-STEP

BrookBurke

Oh, Wild On. Such a savior for lonely nights in the late ’90s when Internet porn was still kind of crappy. The Wild On maven, Brooke Burke, was at Tabu inside MGM Grand for a pre-Valentine’s Day party Saturday night. She was putting her Dancing with the Stars skills to work, rocking out on the tabletop to Ke$ha’s “Tik Tok” and Sean Kingston’s “Fire Burning.” One of those, by the way, has 40 million-plus views on YouTube. So. Nicely done, America.

Over at Tryst, chef Cat Cora was at the owner’s table with Wynn chef Paul Bartolotta. XS saw soccer player Freddie Ljunberg out for a second evening while Mr. Olympia, Jay Cutler, was also in the crowd.

Also at Wynn, UFC fighter Chuck Liddell took his family, including kids Trista and Cade, to see La Reve. They ducked backstage to meet the cast afterward, with Liddell getting a little Dancing with the Stars time in with the ballroom dancers. He returned Sunday night to hit up XS.

MYA DANCES INTO JET FOR PAIR OF SONGS

Myafolo
So … shiny.

Donny Osmond’s Dancing with the Stars runner up Mya was in at Jet inside The Mirage Friday night to do two songs for the crowd, which is great, but our general rule is when it looks like someone has enough sequins going on that it looks like they have two disco balls for boobs, we don’t notice the musical performance. Which is fine. It’s really a win-win.

Over at XS inside Encore, 2007 Playmate of the Year Sara Underwood had a table looking over the dance floor. She went with the plain white dress instead of the clearly superior sequined number. Or maybe, really, it’s just us who get distracted by anything shiny.

Also at XS were Larry Johnson and Bengals teammate Domata Peko, after doing their part to be the first domino in the Jets’ quest to keep failing upward until the Colts do to them what they did to the Ravens, who are essentially just a slightly richer man’s Jets anyway.

Also on Friday, Kid Capri was at Rain to fill in for Z-Trip. You know what you never see? Hip hop tribute bands. Someone should get on that and form Kid ‘n’ Play Capri to successfully re-create the classic early days of hip hop and also house parties.

CES GETS CRUE-IFIED

TommyLee
CES is so metal. (Photos by Erik Kabik | Retna)

Tommy Lee was at CES on Saturday for … something. We don’t know, maybe they just made significant leaps in rotating-drum-cage technology.

Actually, he was there to promote The Public Record, an interactive recording company that’s giving away a chance for fans to be on Lee’s next album. Probably rocking out on the triangle. Look, we’re just saying, you’re probably not going to get to fill in for Nikki Sixx. Because you really couldn’t pull off the hair.

That night, Lee was at XS inside Encore with some friends, where Jermaine Dupri, Jerome Bettis, the Niners’ Takeo Spikes, the Raiders’ Isaiah Ekejiuba and MMA fighter James McSweeney all had spots. It was Bettis’ second night in a row, where the night before Dancing with the Stars’ Maksim Chmerkovskiy celebrated his birthday early.

CURRENT, FUTURE YANKEES AT XS

PrinceJoba
Look at him. You know he wants to be reunited with CC Sabathia. (Photo by Danny Mahoney)

Yankees pitcher Joba Chamberlain and future Yankees designated hitter Prince Fielder (just one more year left on that contract, Milwaukee fans) were at the Sharp Electronics Party for CES last night at XS inside Encore. Fielder was also at the 10 p.m. Blue Man Group performance, where he kept looking at the drummer and seeing a giant hot dog.

PITCHERS’ DUEL AT XS, TRYST

Buehrle
When you throw two no-hitters, you can have the good booth too. (Photo by Danny Mahoney)

White Sox ace Mark Buehrle was at XS inside Encore Friday night with his wife. He had to go there, because it’s the only place on the planet that manager Ozzie Guillen can’t yell at him for something. The music is too loud for him to yell over. Oh, he’ll stand at your table screaming, but all you can really make out is that little Venezuelan who looks like he used to have a lot of hustle is going all purple in the face for some reason. Probably something to do with bottle service, but you really don’t know.

Tampa Bay hurler Matt Garza had a table at Tryst that night, too, which means we were one Evan Longoria appearance away from a Rays/Sox preseason game played somewhere in the vicinity of Bartolotta.

CLUB ELVES

Toys
FINALLY someone stepped up to the plate and got us what we deserve for Christmas. (Photos by Erik Kabik | Retna)

Economic ruin? What economic ruin? If the economy were based solely on toys (which would be awesome) Tryst, XS and Drai’s would have kicked things back into gear all by themselves yesterday during their annual KLUC toy drive after buying up $68,429 worth of stuff at Wal-Mart — more than double last year’s record setting $32,000 total.

Not only did they load up a trailer and a stretch Escalade with toys and more than 200 bicycles, but Santa was flying around in a chopper overhead that was loaded up with toys and brought to Nevada Power, where everything was being collected. This is partly because it provided a fast and effective means of toy transportation, and partly because Santa was always secretly envious of Jan-Michael Vincent in Airwolf.
