This Saturday, Feb. 2, John Huntington presents “One Night Stand” at Studio 54 inside the MGM Grand, the official after-fight party that UFC champ Chuck Liddell will have the pleasure of hosting.
In other words, he’ll stand on stage for three minutes as a screaming crowd drowns out his obligated club-wide greeting. He’ll probably have DJ Exodus play one of his favorite songs, then he’ll disappear into the VIP abyss where he will no longer be in sight, as normal club goers are too average to be anywhere near such a superior area of prestige.
Doors open at 10 p.m., but red carpet proceedings are at 11:30 p.m., so no need to be on the lookout for the Iceman until midnight, we’d guess.

Damn, those are some faces only a mother could love. I hope those are just their “I’m gonna look mean and intimidating to get out of standing in line at the DMV” looks.
Well, either way, it looks like UFC fighters can’t agree to a match unless they’re promised a party thrown on the Las Vegas Strip. On Saturday, Feb. 2, the weekend after fellow UFC’ers Mike Swick and Josh Burkman party at LAX in, uh, celebration of their own fight, Brock Lesnar and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira will go head to head in the octagon and then hobble their way to Pure inside Caesars Palace to celebrate, er, how fun it is to beat people senseless, we guess.
And hey, it’s the night before that other large, nationally-televised sporting event that surely no super fan will want to miss watching, maybe with a bowl of potato chips, if ya get our drift. So get blitzed with Lesnar and Nogueira Saturday night, but don’t sleep through what’s sure to be a super Sunday.

Mixed masochist arts rivals Mike Swick and Josh Burkman are set to shed some blood, sweat and tears from each other during their UFC battle on Wednesday, Jan. 23 at the Pearl inside the Palms. After the foes rip each other to shreds — assuming they are both alive and able to do so — they’ll skip on over to LAX nightclub inside the Luxor, hand in hand, where Jon Lewis is presenting the official after-fight party. DJ Vice will provide the soundtrack for their post-beating partying.
