In an unbridled display of patriotism, Torrid at Planet Hollywood Resort’s Hawaiian Tropic Zone held Red, White and Boobs on Independence Day for a celebration of everything that makes this country great: Cutthroat competition, and the promise of fake breasts.

The silicone-hopeful competed for a breast augmentation courtesy of Dr. Pancholi of Cosmetic Surgery of Las Vegas. Joining the good doctor at the judges’ booth were Playboy cover model Tiffany Holliday and Playboy model, DJ Roxanne Dawn.

Hawaiian Tropic Zone’s Torrid at Planet Hollywood Resorts did what it does best on Friday night — bring in beautiful women to host. Up in the rotation this weekend was Playboy playmate Rebecca Lynn, who attended to her hosting duties to the sound of DJ Direct and DJ Extatic.

Christine Dolce, she of more than a million MySpace.com friends, hosted Friday night at Hawaiian Tropic Zone’s Torrid inside Planet Hollywood Resort. Being the queen of MySpace, though, is kind of like being the coolest kid at the comic book store, isn’t it?

Sunday night at the club, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson took in dinner while watching the Lakers game and spent most of the night fielding numerous questions about whether patrons could in fact smell what was cooking.

Meanwhile on Friday, Dane Cook kicked off his weekend of screaming, gesticulating comedy with dinner at Boa Steakhouse inside Caesars Palace.

Dennis Rodman celebrated his 47th birthday at Hawaiian Tropic Zone’s Torrid Friday night. The one-time husband of Carmen Electra had a decent night, grabbing 12 rebounds, but was repeatedly denied on the perimeter by the tenacious defense of one of the Hawaiian Tropic models.

Jeska Vardanski, cover model for the June issue of Strip Las Vegas hosts Torrid at Hawaiian Tropic Zone inside Planet Hollywood Saturday night where she’ll be joined by 30 NFL players including Jason Bell of your Super Bowl Champion New York Giants. If you’re lucky, and you ask nice, he might rub a little of that Super Bowl magic off on you. It’s better than anything AJ Feeley might rub off on you, and he’ll be there too.

Tonight at Hawaiian Tropic Zone’s Torrid inside Planet Hollywood Resort Dennis Rodman will celebrate his 47th birthday while DJ Direct spins. We assume he’s as shocked as anyone that he made it to 47. Rodman reportedly checked into a Florida rehab center after his April 30 arrest on domestic violence charges, so someone may want to get Dr. Drew on standby for this one.

The girls of Miss Hawaiian Tropic International were on hand Friday night at Hawaiian Tropic Zone’s Torrid inside Planet Hollywood Resort. The 65 pageant hopefuls were in town for the crowning of the 25th Miss Hawaiian Tropic International on stage at the Fremont Street Experience, at which Everclear performed, Saturday night. The taping, we’re told, broke the record for “Most number of people drinking beer from a plastic football while watching a beauty contest.”

Samantha Ronson spun from midnight to 4 a.m. at the debut of Hawaiian Tropic Zone’s Torrid inside Planet Hollywood Resort Friday night, but despite being seen dining with Lindsay Lohan earlier in the evening, she was nowhere to be seen at the club. There’s a report that the two were drinking Shirley Temples with dinner, but we were convinced that had to be a misprint and they were actually downing Shirley Temple Black Russians. That’s a little mixology humor for you there. Six bartenders just started cracking up; the rest of you will have to break out your Mr. Boston guide and cross reference with your child star index.

Ronson returned on Saturday for Strip Las Vegas’ May release party, which featured cover model Valentina Vaugh along with Penthouse Pet of the Year Erica Ellyson, author Dr. Z and Penthouse pets Cassia Riley, Justine Jolie and Jamie Lynn. That’s Dr. Z who posed in Penthouse, not the Dr. Z who writes football for Sports Illustrated, although we hear the former had some intriguing thoughts on running the draw against the blitz on fourth and long in her sex advice book.
