It’s hard out here for a model. (Photos by Scott Harrison | Retna)
It wasn’t all just fun and games for the Sports Illustrated swimsuit models yesterday. They weren’t just hanging out at LAX with John Legend. They were also out signing copies of the swimsuit issue at three different locations.
Lucia Dvorska, Jarah Mariana, Irina Shayk and Julie Henderson were at the Art of Music store at The Mirage; Jessica White, Kim Cloutier, Esti Ginszburg and Jessica Gomez hit up Margaritaville at The Flamingo; and Tori Praver, Ariel Meredith, Daniella Sarahyba and Cintia Dicker were at Rio’s I-Bar putting pen to glossy, bikinified paper.

Yoko Ono dropped in on Love at The Mirage last night with her lawyer, Peter Shukat, and two friends. That’s got to be a lot of pressure on the Love cast to have her in the audience. And not just because they’re afraid she’ll start singing, either. It’s at least more pressure than if Heather Mills was there.

Is that Smashing Pumpkins shirt ironic or sincere? We can’t even tell anymore. (Via myspace.com/aerodrone)
Aerodrone headlines Live Revolution tonight at Revolution Lounge inside The Mirage, playing with The Anix. Now that we’re turning the home stretch for Christmas week, pickings are going to be slim. This might be a good time to hunker down with a handle of whiskey and make sure your Netflix orders are up to date.

The song he’s belting in this photo? Napalm Death’s “Inner Incineration.” (Via myspace.com/terryfator)
The Mirage has inked Terry Fator to a five-year deal with a five-year option to fill the Danny Gans-shaped hole in its heart. Fator, who wowed The Hoff and Sharon Osbourne enough to win a cool million on America’s Got Talent, does a ventriloquist act where the hook is a wide range of song impersonations with the dummies. He’s currently in the middle of a three-shows-per-month deal with the Hilton.
So, there you go. Jeff Dunham’s DVD has sold about 500,000 copies, and Terry Fator is headlining in the same town that Elvis used to rule. You’ve spoken loud and clear, America. We get it. You love puppets. Now settle down before Jeff Foxworthy steals Lambchop for “You might be a redneck” jokes and ushers in the Apocalypse.

He’s the one with the wallet that says Bad Mother … oh, you know. (Photo by Erik Kabik)
Prior to their joint birthday extravaganza at Revolution Lounge, Bare Pool Lounge and finally Jet, director Quentin Tarantino and Black Eyed Pea Fergie kicked things off by taking in a show of LOVE last night at The Mirage. We’re pretty sure Tarantino had The Beatles in mind when he wrote the Gimp scene in Pulp Fiction.
After the show, the birthday boy and girl and their friends and family were treated to a backstage celebration that featured a tower of cupcakes, during which time Tarantino was overheard to complain loudly about why he had to be Mr. Pink Frosting.
?uestlove spun sounds inspired by Tarantino’s films for a crowd that included Fergie’s boyfriend, Josh Duhamel, The Rza, Kid Rock, Vivaca Fox, Darryl Hannah, Diablo Cody, Eli Roth, Nelly, Keyshia Cole, Miya Granatella, Esther Canadas, Kim Vo, Stacy Keibler, Emily Wynne-Hughes and Tarantino producer Lawrence Bender.
It was also noted that during the performance of LOVE, Fergie sipped white wine, which should put a damper on those pregnancy rumors.

Is it really almost pool season? I know this is Las Vegas and we don’t have the harshest winters around, but there was still snow on the mountains last time I checked. But sure enough, Bare Pool Lounge at the Mirage is kicking off the poolside party season early, opening on Thursday, March 13.
The adults-only experience — yes, kids, European-style sunbathing is all the rage at Bare, as its name implies — will again offer such luxuries as cocktail service, specialty food items, a raised VIP section, massages and music provided by live DJs. New this year is the custom glass pool cover that transforms the pool into a transparent dance floor. Can we get that for our bathtub at home?
Bare will be open Thursday through Monday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. until May 1, when it opens seven days a week for your topless sunning pleasure.

It was a rocking night at The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil at the Mirage last night as singer-actress Juliette Lewis and Killers drummer and homeboy Ronnie Vannucci, along with a group of friends, attended the 7 p.m. performance of the show.
Per usual, the celebs in attendance got a backstage tour, but these musically inclined types spent extra time in the Monitor Room, in which a replica of the legendary Abbey Road studio is located.

In case working at the Palms or the Hard Rock pools didn’t sound like they were up your alley, maybe you might want to try out for a position with Bare Pool Lounge at The Mirage? Casting for bartenders, cabana hostesses, pool guest attendants and security staff is being held Monday, Feb. 11, from noon to 5 p.m. at Jet nightclub inside The Mirage.
All this talk of pool clubs kinda makes us wish it was summer already. Almost.

It’s not a good year to be a cow. Earlier, we announced the April opening of the Monte Carlo’s new steakhouse and lounge, Brand. And now The Mirage is unveiling its next eatery, Las Vegas’ first location of award-winning chef Laurent Tourondel’s BLT Burger, slated to open this spring.
Like the original New York location, BLT Burger will offer a hip, casual setting courtesy of the Rockwell Group. The menu offers a distinctive selection of beef (sirloin, short rib, chuck and brisket cut), American and Japanese Wagyu, lamb and Ahi tuna burgers, as well as tasty sides such as onion rings, waffle-cut, chili cheese and sweet potato fries.
In addition to traditional milkshakes and ice cream floats, BLT Burger will also offer a wide selection of beers, wines and cocktails. Or you can just order your milkshake “spiked.” Oh yeah.
