IT’S A FLAIR WORLD, WE JUST DRINK IN IT

Monday was an exciting night in the world of bartending, at least here in Las Vegas. As we mentioned earlier this week, Stella Artois crowned its Draught Master at Pure nightclub, and just down the Strip at The Palazzo, “The Greatest T.G.I. Friday’s Bartender in the World” was also named on Monday after fierce competition.
Tony Adams, a 25-year-old bartender from the Haymarket T.G.I. Friday’s location in London earned the coveted title – and a $10,000 check – after beating out seven other mixologists from around the globe, including Brian Zachau, the four-year-running U.S. champion.
This year’s World Bartender Competition saw 8,000 entrants from 60 countries. The eight finalists competed throughout the weekend in a variety of skills tests and compulsory and speed rounds. It was Adams’ distinctive flair techniques demonstrated during Monday night’s freestyle segment, where he dazzled not only the crowd of close to 1,500, but obviously judges as well.
