The Venetian’s Tao Beach has appointed Todd Worz its director of VIP services, which is good to know, because as much as much as we like being wined and dined, we much prefer it in the great outdoors. It’s good for the constitution. Purely a health concern, you understand.

Worz has been Tao’s senior host/doorman since last year, and was previously a doorman at Body English at Hard Rock Hotel and Whiskey Sky at Green Valley Ranch. He also managed VIP services for Baby’s at the Hard Rock.

The pool atop Tao will be open starting in mid-April from 10 a.m.-midnight. We completely respect opening and closing dates. No matter who insists otherwise, that wasn’t us who broke in for an impromptu meeting of the Polar Bear Club during the winter, just someone who kind of looked like us from the back.

So you tried out for the Pool at the Palms, Rehab and Bare, and didn’t get a job at any of the three pool clubs. But you’re not a quitter! You’re bound and determined to spend your summer serving drunk, nearly naked people!

Well, you might want to hit Tao nightclub between noon and 5 p.m. at some point between Tuesday, March 4 and Saturday, March 8, because Tao Beach is holding auditions for its 2008 season.

If you’re interested in working as a cocktail waitress, bartender, porter, busser, bar back, security guard, runner or VIP host at the Venetian’s rooftop beach club, bring your swimsuit and a smile to Tao nightclub during the aforementioned dates and times.
