New series, Bro-Bromance coming soon. (Photos by Denise Truscello)
You know how when African bees were mated to European bees we wound up with hybrid killer bees? (Just run with it, if you happen to be among the roughly 2 percent of readership that isn’t a regular subscriber to Apiology Today.) Well, the hybrid of The Hills and the Kardashians gave us the seemingly indestructible Brody Jenner, who celebrated his 27th birthday at Lavo and Tao Beach this weekend.
Jenner, along with his brother, Brandon, started with dinner Friday night at Lavo. Girlfriend Avril Lavigne was going to join Jenner, but she had to go straight from Los Angeles to Sweden to record an album. You know, that old story again. There was a bachelorette party that had to be escorted away from Jenner’s table for trying to get too close to him, which is going to make one lucky groom somewhere feel awesome.
Jenner relocated to Tao, where he had the club turn up the lights so he could tell everyone how much he loved his brother. So he’s that guy. Also at Tao were Pauly Shore, gold medalist Cullen Jones and Floyd Mayweather Jr. Angel Porrino was with Tal Cooperman at Lavo.
The brothers Jenner did it all over again on Saturday at Tao Beach, where Rachel Bilson was doing a friend’s bachelorette party. But not hers, right Hayden Christensen?

Brody Jenner kicks off two days of celebrating his birthday, first at Lavo tonight and tomorrow afternoon at Tao Beach. You know. In case you were worried about missing Brody Jenner the first time tonight. If you’re a big Brody Jenner fan. Which we assume you are. Click for more words and pictures »

And then he spent the next 45 minutes telling those girls why they’ll never find a man. (Photos by Al Powers)
Love counselor, reality show host and smarmy wrangler of terribly broken women, Steve Ward of VH1′s Tough Love took his condescending advice carnival on the road where he hosted Match Make Marry at Tao Beach on Friday. He had girls rolling up on him in his cabana in search of advice, like “Don’t only try to date guys who drive Maybachs” and “Perhaps you should try not being such a shrieking harpy.”
That night Ward went to Tao, where he was celebrating a friend’s bachelor party. That’s got to be a good time, spending your whole bachelor party listening to Steve Ward tell you everything that’s wrong with your future wife. It’s probably just coincidence every wedding he’s invited to ends with a jilted bride crying in a heap at the altar.

And here we have the most laid-back wedding of all time.
Not only was Stephanie Pratt hooking up with half of LMFAO this weekend, but she was also helping with other people’s love connection. She was the witness for a quickie wedding at Tao Beach on Sunday when Giuliano Scortecci and Heather Leigh Sosaman of California tied the knot.
The couple came here to get married when they were talking to Tao’s Marklen Kennedy, who, it turns out, is an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church. (20 million free online ordained ministers strong and growing.) Pratt jumped up and down at the chance to be a witness, then took photos of the couple during the Beatport Beach Party.

Tinsley Mortimer, who sounds like she should be a third-string prep school girl in a Fitzgerald novel is basically the ’10s version of a third-string prep school girl in a Fitzgerald novel — she’s the star of High Society, a reality show on The CW. Which is almost like not having a reality show at all. Anyway, she was at Tao on Friday to celebrate her 34th birthday along with sister Dabney Mercer. Of course she has a sister named “Dabney.” It was apparently Reality TV Day at the Venetian and Palazzo, because Alex Ferrer of Judge Alex and Kelly Bensimon of The Real Housewives of New York were at Tao Beach during the day. It was Bensimon’s third straight day. Steve Ward from VH1′s Tough Love was at Lavo for a bachelor party. Man, he must be fun at weddings.
Mortimer was at Tao beach on Saturday was back with Mercer, then took over Lavo for the night. Also there was Kid Sister, who performed at Tao Beach on Sunday where Mortimer was hanging out. Hunter Parrish from Weeds was at Lavo, too, mixing it up with a bacherlorette party. Which means being annoyed by a bachelorette party.
Back at Tao, Frank Vincent and Steve Schirripa from The Sopranos had dinner with members of the Las Vegas Mob Experience team. If Frank Vincent ever asks to speak to his associate in Italian during dinner, you pretty much have to run for your life, right?

Wait, are we sure she isn’t Lady Gaga?.
Rapper Kid Sister will be taking a tremendous risk Sunday when she takes her professionally done nails into the water at Tao Beach in the Venetian.
Best known for being the younger sister of My Buddy, the hip-hop star who came to fame with hits like “Pro Nails” and “Daydreaming” will be hosting the Beatport Beach Party with doors opening at 10 a.m.

Reality star, author and clothing designer Lauren Conrad (and no, we couldn’t type that without laughing) hosted a party at TAO Beach at the Venetian on Saturday. The party was sponsored by Hpnotiq which decorated the pool with a candy theme to symbolize Conrad’s book titled LA Candy. As such, the area was covered in the liqeur’s signature light blue color and disgusting flavor.
The former star of “Laguna Beach” and “The Hills” relaxed with friends in the grand cabana, enjoying cocktails and fare from the TAO kitchen. She chatted about her upcoming book and clothing projects and took pictures with fans while begging people to tell her she was still famous.

Spurned Bachelor winner Vienna Girardi celebrated her liberation from Jake Pavelka and prepared for her long, lonely life of cats and knitting now that the world knows she’s damaged goods. Girardi did a whole Single and Fabulous weekend with Amber Lancaster from The Hard Times of RJ Berger, starting with dinner at Tao Friday night.
On Saturday, Girardi and Lancaster were joined by Bachelor contestant Ashleigh Hunt at Tao Beach, handing out shots and “Team Vienna” T-shirts to the crowd. We’re pretty sure half the crowd wondered when Vienna joined Twilight and the other half wanted to know when the softball game was starting.
That night she even got in the club promotion game, handing out fliers in the lounge of Lavo to come upstairs to her party. The crew expanded to include Miss Florida Rachel Todd, and Giradri snapped pictures with a bachelorette party at the neighboring table. Todd got on the mic to say, “I am so happy to see my best friend get her smile back.” Because nothing cures the a-merciful-God-intervened-to-stop-a-sham-marriage-from-happening blues quite like a couple of days of clubbing. Pamela Anderson celebrated her 43rd birthday Saturday first at Tao Beach and then at the nightclub. It seems like just yesterday she was a fresh-faced starlet blowing Tommy Lee on tape. That tape is 12 years old now. It’s almost as old as Dakota Fanning, who, herself, will probably one day have a sex tape. It’s the circle of life.
First, Anderson hung out with Jesus Villa from Zumanity, then had a birthday procession bring her her cake. Naturally, it was two shirtless dudes, a girl on a raft, whale and dolphin floats and a bottle of Veuve Clicquot. Party planning was handled by Hedonismbot.
That night, Richie Rich from Heatherette came in from New York to party along with Anderson and Mario Barthat Tao. Just in time for the festivities was Derek Fisher, fresh off of LeBron’s recruitment drive. Fisher and his wife, Candace, were celebrating her birthday — and said Miami wasn’t out of the question. They’d have to pay him in fake plastic money you buy at the grocery store with Scrooge McDuck’s face on the quarter, but it’s still not out of the question.
Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis celebrated his 25th birthday a little early. Revis, coincidentally, is also getting paid in McDuck Bucks while the Jets scramble to finance their half of the new stadium.

Solange “Don’t Ask Me About Beyonce” Knowles decided to try her hand at DJing on Saturday at Tao Beach, including the obligatory spin of Biggie’s “Juicy,” the world’s most awestruck ode to the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis.
There to listen to Knowles’ 1994 Mix on her iPod were Amber Lancaster, Jareb Dauplaise, Jayson Blair and Kara Taitz of The Hard Times of RJ Berger, plus Sliders and Dracula 2000 actor Shane West. West was celebrating his birthday, and confounding everyone by bothering everyone by continuing to be in Hollywood, yet not related to Adam West.
Also in for a birthday was Jim Bellino, with wife, Alexis of The Real Housewives of Somethingorother. David Spade was back for the second night in a row. For a dude who gets bored enough with girls that he changes them every 40 minutes, he’s remarkably content to stick to the same restaurant. Over at Lavo, Josh Henderson of Desperate Housewives rolled in around 1 a.m.
