Wild Kardashians, seen here in their natural habitat.
There’s nothing so heartwarming this close to the holidays as a tight-knight family traveling together … to see Usher. Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian were all in town this weekend at the Palms, staying in a Palms Place penthouse. They hit up Simon for dinner before heading to the show.
The girls turned up later at LAX inside Luxor along with younger brother Robert. We’re kind of surprised Kris didn’t turn up, too. It had to have been a tough weekend for her without anyone around to be an overbearing stage mom to.
Also staying at the Palms this weekend was David Beckham, who checked into the Hardwood Suite Saturday night. Beckham was in town for the Ricky Hatton-Paul Malignaggi fight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Click for more words and pictures »

Randy Couture hit up Studio 54 at MGM Grand after his second-round loss to Brock Lesnar at the MGM Grand Garden Arena Saturday night. Lesnar, who we believe is something like 8-foot-6, 429 pounds, won the heavyweight title with a TKO of Couture.
The Natural was there with his wife, Kim, while chants of “Randy” broke out among fans. Other UFC fighters in attendance were Kevin Randleman, Urijah Faber, Gabriel Gonzaga, Mike Pyle, and announcer Bruce Buffer. Non-UFC fighter Rob Schneider was there, as was alleged girl-fighter Suge Knight. It wasn’t all bad news for Couture this weekend, as Todd Beard, former president of Affliction, who Kim Couture just got a restraining order against, apologized and said he’ll go to rehab.
On Friday night at 54, ring girl Arianny Celeste continued her 23rd birthday celebration, joined by fighters Heath Herring, BJ Penn, Mac Danzig and Matt Lindland.
Against that backdrop, Paul van Dyk looks like he’s going to have to fight Superfly Snuka after his set.
Paul van Dyk did what he does best — spin for the crowd — Sunday night at Studio 54 inside MGM Grand. Van Dyk hit the stage around 1 a.m. for a cheering crowd dancing and waving glow sticks (Really? They still do that? Huh.) before giving way to DJ Matt Darey for Late Night.
Also on Sunday, Scooby-Doo and Wing Commander actor Matt Lillard kicked off two days of lounging poolside at Caesars’ Venus Pool Club. On Sunday it was pina coladas, but on Monday he went with Cape Cods. Sometimes you’ve got to make the tough decisions in life. After you put together a resume like Lillard’s, you can rest right on those laurels.
Meanwhile, Drai’s at Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall saw Drew Gooden make an appearance, while sister club Tryst at Wynn Las Vegas, director Brett Ratner took time off from figuring out how to make a Guitar Hero movie (no, really) to do a little partying.
This is the official Biz Markie Beat Boxing Doll. Yes, that IS the coolest toy ever made.
You know what nightclubs don’t have enough of? Biz Markie. We suppose, though, it’s not possible to EVER have enough Biz Markie, unless maybe Biz Markie has an estranged wife or something. We’d look it up, but the man is a bona fide enigma who defies petty social conventions.
The Diabolical himself will be at Studio 54 inside MGM Grand tonight for Influence 2080s with Mr. Freeze of the Rock Steady Crew and DJ Scene as part of the club’s weekly ’80s-themed party. Ladies who wear leg warmers will drink for free until midnight, but then, they’d also have to be wearing leg warmers. It’s a bit of a catch-22.
Do not, under any circumstances, tell Chuck Liddell, “Hit me!”
Chuck Liddell started UFC 86 weekend in grand, old-school Vegas tradition, dealing blackjack at the Hard Rock Hotel Friday night. It also marked a new record for player 20s beat by dealer 21s that went by without complaint. Not since O.J. dealt a few hands in ‘95 were players so cheerful about losing.
Over at Studio 54 inside MGM Grand, ring girl Arianny Celeste hosted a prefight party along with WEC fighter Urijah Faber. Devon George of the Dallas Mavericks also stopped by.
Saturday night was the main event, with Forrest Griffin capturing the light heavyweight title from Quinton “Rampage” Jackson by unanimous decision. The Iceman hosted the official afterparty at Studio 54, stopping on the way in to greet fans before settling in to his skybox. Click for more words and pictures »
The reason to be jealous of Wilmer Valderrama is because he got to share a screen with Robocop badass Kurtwood Smith.
That ’70s Show veteran Wilmer Valderrama, who’s doing his part to help Hollywood maintain its endless creative funk by participating in the big-screen CHiPS remake, made the rounds in town this weekend while coming in for the Ultimate Fighter finale.
First up, on Friday, he split time between LAX at Luxor and Studio 54 at MGM Grand, where he shook hands with fans.
Saturday night saw Valderrama start at Company American Bistro at Luxor with friends before heading to the fight at The Pearl inside The Palms. He ended the night at The Venetian’s Tao, changing it up from Patron to Grey Goose along the way.
On Sunday, he shared a bungalow with running back Steven Jackson at MGM Grand’s Wet Republic. During the day on Saturday, Valderrama spent the afternoon at the pool, where he was the witness for a local couple’s wedding for the first knot-tying the pool has seen. The groom had reportedly been holding out for Mila Kunis as a celebrity witness, but sometimes, you’ve got to take what you can get.
This just reaffirms that the first word that pops into our head when we think Jenna Jameson is “wholesome.”
Retired porn starlet Jenna Jameson and UFC fighter Tito Ortiz were at MGM Grand’s Studio 54 Saturday night for Ortiz’s UFC 84 afterparty. Ortiz lost his match with Lyoto Machida by unanimous decision. The couple brought along an entourage of family and friends, and were mobbed by fans on the red carpet. Although it’s possible Ortiz, in a bright red suit, was simply mistaken for part of the carpet itself and fans were just trying to push through to get into the club.

Tiffany was at MGM Grand’s Studio 54 last night for the club’s ’80s night, where she belted out hits “I Saw Him Standing There” and “I Think We’re Alone Now” — two songs that were bigger hits for their original artists. The former teen idol was wearing, inexplicably for an ’80s night, a flapper dress. Then again, what do we know, she had her finger on the pulse in the ’80s more than we did. We were mostly concerned with the Iron Sheik and Thundercats.
In her heyday, Tiffany was playing “I Think We’re Alone Now” at malls. Now, 20 years after the height of her popularity, she’s doing the same songs in Vegas nightclubs. Who said flashes-in-the-pan trend downward through their careers?
MGM Grand’s Studio 54, much like VH1 before it, loves the ’80s. The club brings in Tiffany tonight for an ’80s-themed party where prizes will be given out for the top three contests. The grand prize is a stay at Signature, dinner at any MGM restaurant and bottle service at 54. Second place gets $250 toward dinner at Fiamma, two tickets to Crazy Horse Paris and two VIP passes to Tabu. Third place clocks in with a daybed at Wet Republic and cocktails. Ladies, if we may make a suggestion? If you really want to win the contest, go for the Flashdance special: Nothin’ but legwarmers and a welder’s mask. You’re welcome.
