Nice cans. (Photo by Melissa Reese | SpyOnVegas.com)
It’s simple. Bring a canned good to Mist inside Treasure Island, get a free drink. And don’t go with that creamed corn crap, either. Get the good stuff. Go get a nice big can of that cranberry sauce that stays perfectly in the can shape when you pop it out. That’s a big old, can-shaped pile of delicious right there. It all gets going at 5 p.m. Click for more words and pictures »

DJ Crooked’s favorite Spike Lee movie? Crooklyn. (Photo via myspace.com/djcrooked)
Every Wednesday, Lavo at Palazzo brings in DJ Crooked for Label Junkie, its fashion-oriented night of the week. We have this sweet hoodie we got at a Sears and some Lovi brand knock-off jeans, so we’re pretty much guaranteed to be the prettiest girl in school. Click for more words and pictures »

They’re the pomade-iest. (Via myspace.com/willandthehirollers)
Local rockabilly quintet Will & the Hi-Rollers hit the stage at Wasted Space inside the Hard Rock Hotel tonight along with The Delta Bombers and DJ Lucky. We’d go, but our rat rod is totally broke down. And, uh, doesn’t exist. Details. Click for more words and pictures »

Rokkin. Dokken not included. (Via myspace.com/georgelynch)
Former Dokken guitar wizard George Lynch is at Wasted Space inside the Hard Rock Hotel tonight, with the Sin City Sinners doing a set as well. In the war of ’80s Metal Guitarists Who Had Solo Projects Named After Themselves, we’re going to take the Lynch Mob over Blackmore’s Rainbow, although if you count the late ’80s output from Guns ‘n’ Roses, Slash’s Snakepit wins in a walk. Hey! We went to high school with that chick! (Via Lordi.fi)
If you didn’t get your fill of ridiculous metal yesterday with Dragonforce, House of Blues is doubling down with Lordi tonight at 5:30. If you don’t know Lordi, think of them as KISS by way of Fangoria magazine, or zombies by way of zombies with guitars. You know what? You should probably just watch the video. They’re all pretty much like this. Click for more words and pictures »

Paul Oakenfold loves the locals.
Stations opens its newest joint, Aliante, today to capitalize on that lucky 11:11 on 11/11 mojo, but Paul Oakenfold offers you something to do if you don’t feel like driving all the way up north. Perfecto is having a special show tonight for locals with opening sets from The Funkler and DJ Prism at Rain inside the Palms. Click for more words and pictures »

If you are a 13-year-old dude who plays guitar, there is a 100 percent chance you own this album.
It’s time to get your classic rock on. Joe Satriani heads up the House of Blues tonight at 7:30 p.m. along with Mountain, which originally did “Mississippi Queen” long before the admittedly unfortunate cover Ozzy turned in. Look, you spend 40 years making with the rock, eventually you’re going to do a bad cover or a duet with Lita Ford or the entirety of Bark at the Moon or get married to Sharon Osbourne. These things happen. Cut him some slack. Click for more words and pictures »

Here we go again.
Madonna does the second night of her engagement at the MGM Grand Garden Arena at 8 p.m. She already brought out Britney and Justin Timberlake, separately, to perform Thursday night at Dodger Stadium. Will she do it again, or did he already drink enough blood from each star to keep her from aging for another six months? We’ll be spending the night trying to find a screening of estranged husband Guy Ritchie’s RocknRolla. Click for more words and pictures »

Just look at him. He’s totally bluffing.
Former World Series of Poker champion Jamie Gold is among those set to walk the red carpet for the debut of Dream Team Poker at the Hard Rock Hotel tomorrow at noon. The invitational tournament allows players to compete in teams of three, so you’re not out of the running until all three team members have busted. It does mitigate some of the luck factor, but should drastically increase your “I never knew my friends were such idiots” quotient. Joining Gold on the red carpet are pros David Benyamine, Erica Schoenberg, David Daneshgar Kenny Tran, Jean Robert Bellande, Roy Winston and Chris Bigler, actor and poker enthusiast Mekhi Phifer, Daily 10 host Sal Masekela, 24 actor Roger Cross, Holly Montag of The Hills, former NBA player Chris Mills, Knight Rider’s Yancey Arias and Simpsons writer and producer Sam Simon.
