1111WED: THE ROUNDUP

will
Complimentary tin of pomade with each paid admission. (Actually, we wish. We could use that.)

Revolution Lounge at The Mirage takes a turn to rockabilly tonight with local act Will & The Hi-Rollers. We love that truncated “Hi-.” How much better was everything in the ’50s when they’d use that all the time? How much peppier does everything sound that way? Imagine what it could do for High Times magazine. It would sound more like a publication where you could get good information on new stereo equipment and tiki decorations and less like a depressing ode to stoners who can think of literally nothing else then when they’re going to get blazed next. Now if you’ll excuse us, we have to start planning the schedule for our after-work cocktails. Click for more words and pictures »

REVOLUTION DOUBLES DOWN

TiestoZTrip
It’s like the Summit at Yalta, but with less Stalin and Churchill.

Revolution got the heavyweight treatment Friday night when Tiesto stopped by for a surprise appearance at Rain inside the Palms as he sat at a table on the main stage. The Dutch DJ posed for photos with fans and chatted with Z-Trip during the show.

Meanwhile, Wes Scantlin of Puddle of Mudd was having drinks inside Playboy Club. We’re as surprised as anyone to learn Puddle of Mudd is still a thing. Diddy protege and Making the Band 4 contestant Donnie Klang had a table with six friends at Moon, jumping up to do a three-song set around midnight. We’re also as surprised as anyone to learn Making the Band is still a thing.

Poker pro and commentator Phil Gordon had dinner at N9NE Steakhouse, as did Gary Sheffield. Former Mets catcher Mike Piazza, meanwhile, dined at Nove.

THE IRONY, IT BURNS

Khloe
Don’t get too used to the way that rock feels on your finger, Khloe. (Photos by Erik Kabik | Retna)

First-at-Cathouse-and-now-at-Revolution Closet Sundays celebrated its one-year anniversary yesterday with Khloe Kardashian alongside hairstylist Kim Vo. Probably a bad omen to mark a one-year anniversary with someone who has zero chance to celebrate her one-year anniversary, but that’s just us. They should’ve brought out a famous old couple for good luck. Like George and Barbara Bush, or Tim Robbins and Goldie Hawn, or Kim and Reggie.

1025SUN: THE ROUNDUP

This marriage sounds better and better all the time. (Photos by Scott Harrison | Retna)

Khloe Kardashian hosts at Revolution’s Closet Sundays inside The Mirage. Hopefully by that point Lamar Odom’s kids will have met their new mommy. Oh, who are we kidding. There’s just as good a chance they’ll already be divorced by then. Click for more words and pictures »

1022THURS: THE ROUNDUP

Swayze
R.I.P., Swayzetaur.

Revolution Lounge at The Mirage and Mario Barth are handing out $1,000 over five categories for bad tattoos. So at least you get a head start on getting a cover-up job. Kind of a tough way to win $200, like having the best teeth on Fourth Street, or being the smartest dude on the set of Delta Farce. Click for more words and pictures »

We’re pretty sure that’s the guy who was naked in the trunk in The Hangover. Nice to see he got some snappy clothes out of the deal.

0826WED: THE ROUNDUP

kane
We’re begging you: Bring back the hi-top fade. And check out the barber’s epic fade, too.

Cold chillin’ Big Daddy Kane — the man who launched the career of Jay-Z and, to a lesser extent, Positive “I Got a Man” K, is in tonight at Revolution Lounge inside The Mirage for The Old School Takeover. Kane might be a hip-hop pioneer and a well-respected MC, but we’ll forever remember him from Posse, the timeless story of Tone Loc, three other black cowboys, and Stephen Baldwin. No, seriously, that really happened. Click for more words and pictures »

0701WED: THE ROUNDUP

2livecrew
At one time, this was a society-shaking controversy.

Tonight’s a tough call. Revolution at The Mirage has Biz Markie, who Heineken decided need to be the official soundtrack for not drunk driving (which is pretty awesome, all things considered), but Rok Vegas at New York-New York has 2 Live Crew. How do they expect us to choose between “Just a Friend” and “Me So Horny?” Do they think we’re made of stone? It’s like trying to choose between which one of your children you like better. Oh, wait. The boy. That was actually easier than we thought it would be. Click for more words and pictures »

EDDIE GRIFFIN MELLOW AT REVOLUTION

eddieg
How blazed is Eddie Griffin right here? It’s like someone called Mr. Nice Guy.

Mothers, lock up your sports cars. Eddie Griffin was at Revolution Lounge inside The Mirage Wednesday night with friends. The Undercover Brother was getting bottles, but he looks awfully heavy-lidded and bleary-eyed in this pic. Maybe he was just sleepy and not insanely, Towlie-times-Snoop Dogg-ishly stoned out of his Urban Justice-starring gourd.
