Hard Rock Hotel kicks off its second season of Friday Night Live with Puddle of Mudd tonight at 9 p.m. We suspect they’ll play that mid-tempo, minor-key, slow-burn rocker that sounds like the other three mid-tempo, minor-key, slow-burn rockers they have on the radio.

DJ88 will be on the turntables through the whole FNL series, with future acts scheduled including Dropkick Murphy’s, De La Soul, Pepper and Rusted Root.

Get there early tonight, and you can score free booze from 6 to 9 p.m. from SpyOnVegas.com’s Open Bar.

DMX kicked off the opening of Hard Rock Hotel’s Rehab on Sunday to a packed crowd that saw boxer Zab Judah, racer Carey Hart and Jackass alum Wee-Man in attendance. The irony isn’t lost of having a guy make a high-profile appearance at Rehab who once turned himself in for drug-related crimes, and when searched at the police station, had weed on him.

Rehab at Hard Rock Hotel officially kicks off its swimming season with a grand opening party Sunday featuring DMX, whose snarling and growling should provide ample cadence for your laps.

At the Playboy Club inside The Palms, DJ Dimitri from Paris celebrates the release of his new album during the club’s Sunday After Dark party. Also, he’ll hopefully clear up why he isn’t, say, Dimitri from Moscow.

Finally, The Bank at Bellagio is throwing a birthday bash for resident DJ David Christian. Hopefully, he’ll at least get to take his birthday off. We’d volunteer to man the turntables, but our collection of creepy circus music and all-klezmer covers of ’80s power ballads usually isn’t well received.

Can you smell the tanning lotion in the air already? Of course you can’t, numb skull — it’s still 35 degrees overnight here in Las Vegas. But our local outdoor hot spots are gearing up for pool season.

We already told you about the Palms Pool auditions Monday, but if you want to cover all your hip pool club bases, you might want to be at Body English inside the Hard Rock Hotel this Saturday, Feb. 9, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. That’s when the Hard Rock is casting for the return of Rehab.

If you’re interested in becoming a cocktail server, bartender, bar back, cabana attendant, lifeguard or retail associate at Rehab or the Hard Rock Pool, bring your hottest swim wear on Saturday. Good luck, kids.
