Because one giant desert dance party just isn’t enough, Pasquale Rotella yesterday hit up Facebook to announce that Insomniac will be adding two new shows to the Vegas dance calendar–Beyond Wonderland and Nocturnal Wonderland, after promising new events for San Manuel, Calif., where those events had taken place.

San Manuel is a beautiful location, but it’s clear that it cannot handle our larger Insomniac festivals right now, including Beyond Wonderland. We always want to deliver a high quality experience, even after the music ends, and while we tried our best to accommodate the large crowds and handle the traffic issues, it’s just not working yet. Instead, I’m excited to announce that we are creating new, smaller all-campout events specifically tailored for San Manuel, which will mean better traffic and less logistical issues. … We have an amazing new venue to announce in Las Vegas (EDC is staying at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway), but anything that takes place in this new venue will be in addition to—not in place of—anything that happens in SoCal. We are going to launch a Beyond and a Nocturnal Wonderland in Vegas.

So where could this new mystery venue be? Sam Boyd Stadium? The mystery lot across from Mandalay Bay? Something Downtown-adjacent, or a full-on Life Is Beautiful with Beats? Our house? Oh God, someone really has to tell us if it’s going to be at our house. We need to vacuum or something.

Something relating to Downtown would make a lot of sense, actually, given Rotella’s involvement in Downtown bars and a lot of the Burning Man-inspired setpieces there. We’re just not sure how they’re going to fit all those people in The Griffin.

Don’t look so surprised. This has been in the works for months. (Via Instagram)

EDC honcho Pasquale Rotella took over Disneyland last night to make an honest woman out of Holly Madison. The pair were hitched after the park closed, with Laura Croft and Bridget Marquardt as Madison’s bridesmaids. We’re not sure what Disney character Madison may have dressed as for the wedding ceremony as pics are likely going to be exclusive to one of the celeb mags at first, but we fervently hope it was as one of the Aristocats.

Insomniac’s Pasquale Rotella, the man behind Electric Daisy Carnival, says he expects to be arrested in conjunction with a complex kickback scheme at L.A.’s Coliseum. Former Coliseum GM Patrick Lynch, events manager Todd DeStefano and promoter Reza Gerami have already been hooked. Rotella is currently in Miami at Winter Music Conference.

Rotella’s lawyer tells the L.A. Weekly his client is innocent, and, more importantly, that all Insomniac events will continue as planned (emphasis ours):

Any charges against Mr. Rotella are clearly politically motivated and publicity driven. Mr. Rotella will vigorously defend himself and looks forward to being completely vindicated.

Mr. Rotella is currently on pre-planned business travel and will be changing his plans to expeditiously return voluntarily to Los Angeles to defend himself against any baseless charges.

In the meantime, it is business as usual for Insomniac. The company has a robust leadership team in place implementing Mr. Rotella’s vision and no events will be impacted.
