Finally, for those of you looking for the more get-straight-to-the-point-by-which-we-mean-drinking New Year’s Eve experience, there’s a plethora of bar and miscellaneous options for no-frills revelry. Mandalay Bay is going the inclusive route with their Block Party, which goes down along Restaurant Row, with StripSteak serving as headquarters. A $30 pass gets you entry into drawings, drink specials and one sponsored drink at each of Mizuya, THELounge, the Race & Sports Bar, Orchid Lounge and RM Seafood.

The Miracle Mile Shops host day-long countdown to midnight on their Strip-side screens. Every hour will show different cities celebrating, starting at 1 p.m. with Moscow.
Downtown Cocktail Room has resident DJs Carlos Sanchez and Douglas Gibbs. $400 includes two bottles of Absolut and one bottle of Champagne.
McFadden’s has live music and a top-shelf open bar and buffet from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. $100.
Frankie’s Tiki Room offers complimentary Fink Bomb Shots at 2 a.m. in honor of New Year’s in Hawaii and Tahiti.
Lagasse’s Stadium has an open bar and passed appetizers from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. with music by DJ Geometrix and DJ Enferno. $55.
First offers open bar and appetizers, music by DJ Manny Ramos. $130.
Bunkhouse does $20 all-you-can drink well or domestic from 9 p.m. to midnight.
Rhumbar offers a Champagne toast for $75, unlimited bar for $125 and a VIP package for $200/per including seating and a bottle of Stoli Elit and bottle of Veuve Clicquot for tables of four or more.
Open Bar, appetizers and live entertainment are available at Margaritaville. $125, 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar includes Champagne toast. $20. Tables can be reserved for $62.50/per for groups of four, or couples for $250 total.
Cannery East’s One Six Sky Lounge has hors d’oeuvres, Champagne toast with DJ Madam Malixa for $35.
The Bridge Bash at New York-New York — including Nine Fine Irishmen — is $125 and includes open bar from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., DJ Chris Landry and go-go dancers.
El Cortez offers open bar, hors d’ouvres, entertainment and a Champange toast for $35 advance/$50 door.
Murphy’s Law brings in DJ Garrett, goes low with a $5 cover, plus a $5 beer-and-burger that nets you $2 off the Murphy’s Apple martini all night.

Something new for New Year’s.

Four new spots make their debut (well, discounting soft openings, private events and plans-for-later-bigger-grand-opening situations, anyway) on New Year’s Eve. Rock bar Smokin’ Hot Aces at The Venetian is one, and Eva Longoria Parker’s Eve, above Beso at Crystals is another. But it’s Haze at Aria and Vanity at the Hard Rock Hotel which figure prominently into clubland. The former brings in DJ Tiesto at $350 a ticket, while the latter has DJ Vice, with an open bar from 9 p.m. to midnight for $200. It’s going on in conjunction with the closing of Body English (which will re-open as an afterhours joint later in ’10), with DJ Eric Cubeechee, open bar all night and a very special party favor for the customer with the highest tab — the crystal chandelier hanging over the room — for $150. Better have the U-Haul hotline ready in your phone if you plan on high-rolling it.

The Maroon 5 afterparty is at Playboy Club. $125.
Z-Trip spins at Moon. $150.
CatHouse offers $50 general admission or a $100 open bar package until midnight.
Gold Lounge. $125 includes hors d’oeuvres and hosted bar from 9 p.m. to midnight
Revolution Lounge has DJ G Minor. $75 includes hosted bar from 10 p.m. to midnight and Champagne toast.
Get in at Caramel for the low, low price of $50.
Blush is flexible, at $75 for women (or $50 each for groups of four or more), $125 for men (or $100 each for groups of four or more). A Blush/Society package ($145 women/$170 men) includes Champagne and flatbread on Friday and Saturday.
Brand has DJ Dilemma. $40 includes hosted bar from 9 to 11 p.m.
The Deuce Lounge is $50, and ladies get a hosted bar from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Mix tosses in a Champagne toast for $100.
Studio 54 is $125 advance/$150 door with open bar from 9 to 11 p.m.
Tabu has open bar from 9 to 11 p.m. $100 advance, $125 door.
Holly Madison hosts at Prive while Jermaine Dupri spins. $50 for ladies and $150 for men.

For those who can’t close out 2009 without getting a little extra gelee.

If you’re going to go all foodie on us and go for the big, blow-out meal on New Year’s Eve, you may as well go for broke. Guy Savoy at Caesars Palace has two prix fixe menus available for the gourmand set. The rest of us get Domino’s. And not any of that fancy new stuff that’s supposed to taste 30 percent more like actual pizza, either. First up from Guy Savoy is the $240 Menu Elegance, with marinated lobster salad and gelée of summer herbs; crispy sea bass with delicate spices; artichoke and black truffle soup served with toasted mushroom brioche and black truffle butter; poached-roasted baby chicken; couscous of cauliflower; spinach puree and mustard jus; and fruit and chocolate. Or, go for broke with the $390 Menu Prestige: Oysters en gelée; marinated lobster salad and gelée of summer herbs; colors of caviar; crispy sea bass with delicate spices; foie-gras en papillotte and radish bouillon; artichoke and black truffle soup served with toasted mushroom brioche and black truffle butter; roasted veal chop, black truffle potato purée, young vegetables braised in veal jus; selection de fromages affinés; coconut and chocolate fondant, crunchy praline and chicory cream.

Fix at Bellagio features a five-course menu, including a glass of Champagne, for $175 per guest, 2 person minimum.
Bellagio’s Yellowtail does a six-course New Year’s Eve Omakase dinner menu from 5 to 11 p.m. $175 per person, 2 person minimum. Sake or premium sake pairing available for $55 and $75, respectively.
Stack at The Mirage has a four-course menu including glass of champagne for $150 per person, 2 person minimum from 5 to 11 p.m.
Union at Aria does a five-course menu, including glass of champagne. $175 per person, 2 person minimum.
SushiSamba celebrates with samba dancers and DJs for the Brazilian tradition of Reveillon, where white-clad revelers pay homage to sea goddess Yemenja by floating candlelit offerings on the waters. The staff will be in white and they’ll be offering special small plates and entrees.
Boa has a four-course prix fixe menu at $95.
Hard Rock Hotel’s Rare 120 has an $85 five-course menu, or $115 with wine pairings from 6 to 11 p.m.
Ago does a four-course menu for $75 or $99 with wine pairings from 5:30 to 11 p.m.
Caesars’ Bradley Ogden does a four-course menu for $119.
Payard Patisserie has a $65 prix fixe.
Rao’s prix fixe is available from 5 to 10:30 p.m. for $160 and includes a glass of prosecco or a Bellini.
DJT at Trump offers a six-course dinner for $125. $200 with wine pairings, from 5 to 9 p.m.
Serenditpity 3 at Caesars has a buffet from 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. for $103.
Pink Taco at the Hard Rock does a $20.10 prix ixe menu or $30.10 with tequila flight pairing.
Planet Hollywood’s Strip House offers a prix fixe menu for $110.
T&T at Luxor joins forces with Fantasy to offer a $125 three-course dinner and ticket to Fantasy, plus midnight tequila and Champagne toast starting at 8 p.m., with the ladies of Fantasy mingling during dinner.

This year’s celebrity haul for New Year’s Eve is pretty paltry. If partying with the glitterati is your thing, your options are limited to start 2010. Christina Aguilera is the biggest name, hosting at Tao. She also commands the biggest cover of this year’s celeb-events at $250, which includes an open bar from 9 to 11 p.m., hors d’oeuvres and a midnight Champagne toast. DJ Five handles the turntables.

Lavo has Nicole Richie with a special DJ set from husband Joel Madden and sounds by DJ Eric D Lux. $150 includes includes open bar from 9 to 11 p.m., hors d’oeuvres and a midnight champagne toast.
Pete Wentz hosts the Rockstar New Year’s Celebration at Jet, with DJ Skeet Skeet. $150 includes hosted bar from 10 p.m. to midnight.
Eva Longoria Parker and Tony Parker host grand opening of Eve above Beso. $125 includes hors d’oeuvres and open bar from 8 p.m. to midnight.

Has anything good happened in ’09? Anything at all? Other than the Yankees winning the World Series, we mean. Trainwreck economy, pop-star icons dropping dead (We’ll mourn ya till we join ya, Swayze) and now even underpants are capable of knocking a 757 out of the sky. You can begin the long, slow process of drinking enough to black out the whole crap year with a few tunes. Maroon 5 headlines at The Pearl, along with opening act and baring-his-dong-enthusiast Jason Segel for $125, $150 or $200. Or, choose from a stone-cold plethora of other shows.

The John Mayer Trio are at The Joint. $96.
Lake Effect Mud opens up Smokin’ Hot Aces at The Venetian. Premium bar package from 8 to 11 p.m., Champagne toast at midnight and late-night breakfast buffet. $60.
The Fremont Street Experience holds its second annual TributePalooza with bands paying homage to Aerosmith, Depeche Mode, Guns N’Roses, INXS, Led Zeppelin, No Doubt, U2, Van Halen and Jimi Hendrix. $10 locals, $20 tourists. Mayor Oscar Goodman leads the countdown to midnight, and fireworrkds by Grucci are under the canopy, choreographed to virtual fireworks on VivaVision.
Cabo Wabo brings in Sammy Hagar tribute band OU812. Advanced tickets $100, including access to Red Rocker Loft with open bar from 10 p.m. to midnight.
Dead Man’s Hand celebrates Scott Ian’s birthday with a show by Corey Taylor’s Junk Beer Kidnap Band, plus the Dead Man’s Band featuring Ian, Jerry Cantrell and Vinnie Paul
The Bank brings in Robin Thicke. $150 gets you a complimentary champagne toast.
Diablo’s Cantina has cover band The Street upstairs and DJ Epic 1 downstairs. $100 includes hosted bar from 9 to 11 p.m.

House of Blues has Gary Allan. $75.
51 Fifty performs at Wasted Space with open bar all night long and a Champagne toast at midnight. $150.

Now that another page is mercifully off the calendar and we’re all one step closer to the sweet, sweet release of death, it’s time to sit back and contemplate, “Wait. What the hell actually happened the other night?” Truth be told, no one will ever know unless your friends are dicks and have already started putting the pictures up on Facebook. But hey, in that light, you’re right. That dude totally looked like a chick. So anyway, here are some fireworks.

If you’re still undecided about what you want to do tonight (nice going, procrastinators), we already told you about all that. Remember? The concerts, the celebs and the rest. So we’re not going to go over it all again. It’s time you started this new year on the right foot, with a little self-reliance. We think that should be your resolution anyway, so get to it.

On that note, we’ll see you on the other side. Of 2009, we mean. Not death. We hope. That would kind of suck. So stay safe. Ish. We’ll cut you some slack on the liver abuse.

It’s the New Year’s Eve spectacular so big just that not even two days’ worth of posting can contain it. We brought you the concerts, and we brought you the celebrities. Now it’s time to dive into all the rest. Like Paul Oakenfold doing a special edition of Perfecto at Rain inside the Palms with warm-up sets by Liquid Todd and The Funkler. Every New Year’s Eve party could use a little enfunklening, right?

XS at Encore opens — but what’s going on is still under a cloud of mystery.
Hawaiian Tropic Zone inside Planet Hollywood Resort has DJ Fuzz Bubble and Jeremy Cornwell and offers $50 general admission or $125 open bar admission from 8 to 11 p.m.
Ghostbar at the Palms has open bar from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for $225, while Moon runs over in the Fantasy Tower. In addition, you can get access to all the Palms clubs, including Oakenfold at Rain and Kid Rock at Playboy, for $475 (although there are a limited number of these VIP passes available).
McFadden’s at the Rio does open bar from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. for $100.
Coyote Ugly at New York-New York is $50 for party favors and a glass of champagne at midnight.
Diablo’s Cantina inside the Monte Carlo has cover band the Dope MCs.
Mist at Treasure Island is only $30, while Caramel at Bellagio is $40.
DJ Reach spins at Lavo inside Palazzo while Fergie drops by after her performance.
Rok Vegas inside New York-New York does a $200 open bar from 9 p.m. to midnight, or a $125 general admission.
Frankie’s Tiki Room does it Hawaiian style, handing out free Fink Bomb shots at 2 a.m. — when the clock strikes midnight in Hawaii.

Continuing on with our compilation of every New Year’s Eve event, ever (we’ve got some killer stuff about the party at the Roman Colosseum in 1399) today we bring you the celebrity appearances that can turn your dull, drab drunken blackout into a bright, shiny drunken blackout with certified tabloid fodder. Like, for example, the Kardashian sisters — Kim, Khloe and Kourtney — who will host at LAX inside Luxor.

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt will be at Christian Audigier the Nightclub at Treasure Island.
Pure at Caesars Palace has Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz, and then a union of all the Pure Management celeb hosts when the Kardashians and Heidi and Spencer come in.
Usher rings it in at The Bellagio’s Bank.
Jet at The Mirage brings in New Kids on the Block Donnie Wahlberg and Danny Wood.
Benji Madden is at Body English inside the Hard Rock Hotel.
