Mist at Treasure Island ends its seven-year run tonight. The spot just off the casino floor will shut down for good at the end of Halloween night, but they’re marking the occasion with a closing party this evening. Ever since the Treasure Island went independent, they’ve been tinkering over there. Planned for first quarter 2011? Expanding the lagoon across the Boulevard so they can board the Venetian. Kamal and Ahmed Givens — that’s Real and Chance to those of you, like us, woefully hooked on VH1 — were shopping for contestants in March at Mist inside Treasure Island. Tonight the lounge has a viewing party for the Season 2 premiere, because if there’s one thing Video Hits One knows it’s that no amount of flogging is ever enough for a horse that keeled over, closed its eyes and started the long march to RottingCarcassLand ages ago. (RottingCarcassLand is a subsidiary of Six Flags.) Castmembers Vegas, Aloha, Wiggly and Apple will be on hand, which probably means at least three of them get bounced in the first episode for, we don’t know, not being Stallionaire enough. One season of I Love New York, one of I Love Money and one of Real Chance of Love just weren’t enough for Ahmad and Kamal Givens — les bros. Real and Chance. They’re in town this week to cast for a second season at Stallionaire ranch. They’re doing the first go-round Saturday at Mist inside Treasure Island then they’re back for St. Patrick’s Day at Hawaiian Tropic Zone inside Planet Hollywood Resort.

Let’s see. Biggest drinking holiday of the year, plus girls who want to go on a reality dating show. If there isn’t one near-catfight before the end of the night, we’re going to be tragically disappointed.

We were so close to sealing the deal, but they wouldn’t throw in rust-proofing.

Former New Frontier owner Phil Ruffin is going to buy Treasure Island from MGM Mirage for $775 million. Ruffin dumped the New Frontier on El-Ad for $1.2 billion, so the guy clearly knows a little something about buying low and selling high.

It’s unclear right now what this will mean for Christian Audigier the Nightclub and Mist. There hasn’t been any immediate word of changes at Audigier, but the transaction isn’t scheduled to be completed until the second quarter of ’09, according to reports.

We think we could win the Keith Moon challenge pretty handily, but the John Bonham level would be tough.
