Michael Jackson + lasers + sequins = awesome/X, where X = disco flava.

Michael Jackson and his three kids were at the 7 p.m. performance of Ka at MGM Grand last night. Jackson has been awfully active in the public eye lately (well, what counts for him as active — he still wore a hoodie and a face mask), having been spotted in recent weeks going to the movies at the Palms and seeing sister Cirque act Mystere on July 29. Today, the rumor breaks that Jackson might be involved in the MTV Video Music Awards.

After the show, Jackson said it was the best production he’s ever seen and that it was his favorite of the Cirque shows. We assume he means best production he’s ever seen that didn’t involve well-choreographed zombies.

Michael Jackson and his three children stopped in at Treasure Island Tuesday night for the 9:30 showing of Mystère.

The Jackson gang reportedly headed for their seats right after the show began, which normally would be irritating, but, come on, it’s Michael Jackson. Are you going to yell at the King of Pop for coming into a theater late? Didn’t think so.

This is the most normal thing Michael Jackson has done in the last 25 years.

Reports are coming in fast and furious about Michael Jackson in negotiations for a long-term deal to settle his debt to Colony Capital. The equity group, which owns the Las Vegas Hilton and has a chunk of Stations, bailed Jackson out of his Neverland Ranch foreclosure troubles.

You know, everyone assumes that this deal would be for Jackson to headline his own show at the Hilton, but we have a hunch that if Colony can get him under contract, they’ll just use him to revamp Star Trek: The Experience and cast Jacko in the role of Guinan.

Do you know it’s been a month since DailyFiasco.com launched and we haven’t mentioned Michael Jackson once? Well, we could only keep our pants on so long. A monkey ran into the office a few minutes ago and told us that the mono-gloved basket case was spotted enjoying the Ronn Lucas show inside the Luxor this afternoon. With his “entourage.”

Did you catch that? Michael Jackson was watching a puppet show on a Tuesday afternoon. Not creepy at all …

You’ll probably be hearing a lot from the plastic-faced wonder in the coming months, as he releases the re-recorded 25th anniversary edition of Thriller, complete with new collaborations with Akon, Kanye West and Will.i.am. Oh, we can’t wait.
