It’s that time of year again: Boob savin’ time. In a battle cry that will go down with “Remember the Alamo!” and “Hey, those guys blew up the Maine!” the American Cancer Society’s Save the Boobs Poker Run breast cancer fundraiser kicks off at 9 a.m. from Hogs & Heifers (201 N 3rd St.) before going to the Red Rock Harley-Davidson dealership, then to Mountain Springs Saloon, Pioneer Saloon and the Penthouse Club before looping back to Hogs for barbecue and live music from Southern Stue. Really, what more can you ask from your fundraiser than barbecue and a strip club?

1001WED: THE ROUNDUP

If there’s one thing bikers love, it’s boobs running free. (Photo by Eric Ita | SpyOnVegas.com)

The eighth annual BikeFest kicks off tonight with the three-year anniversary party at Hogs & Heifers (201 N. Third St.) featuring rockabilly act Double-Wide at 9 p.m. This is the joint that, like your college roommate, specializes in bra-removal. Unlike your college roommate, though, it doesn’t need roofies to get the job done. BikeFest continues Thursday at Hogs with an 8 p.m. afterparty featuring the Moanin’ Blacksnakes. The poker walk runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, and afterwards The Lucky Cheats play at 3 p.m. and Southern Stue is at 8 p.m. On Saturday, it’s Rocky Tonk at 3 p.m. and The Ruffnecks at 8 p.m. Everything wraps up Sunday with a 2 p.m. barbecue and Johnny Cash tribute band Cash’d Out. TALK DIRTY TO ME

Everybody’s got a story to tell. If yours just happens to be dirty and you want it aired on Playboy TV, you may want to make a trip to Hogs & Heifers Saloon (201 N. Third St.) from 3 to 6 p.m. tomorrow, where Jesse Jane will be collecting tales of ribaldry for the channel’s Naughty Amateur Home Videos. (Why does Playboy insist on being so demure about its show titles? Why can’t they ever just tell you what a program is going to be about?)

Potential exhibitionists must be 21 and up.

GET ON YOUR HOG TO SAVE THE BOOBS

So let’s say you’re going to throw a charity motorcycle run to benefit the American Cancer Society. Of course, the ACS is dedicated to eliminating all types of cancer – lung, colon, prostate – but none of those internal organs are very pretty or offer catchy names. So what type of cancer might inspire a name the public can latch on to for a fund raising event?

Breast. You guessed it. On Sunday, March 9, The Point 97.1-FM presents the “Save the Boobs Poker Run” starting at Hogs & Heifers Saloon (201 N. Third St.) at 11 a.m. The charity bike run will stop at various spots where riders will play a round of poker, including Mountain Springs Saloon, PT’s, Harley Davidson and Scores. After the run, the party is back at Hogs & Heifers with free barbecue and live music by Southern Stue.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. that day. Riders pay a $30 entry fee; passengers are $10 each. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society, whose new motto is “Fighting to Save Boobs Since 1913.” Or maybe that’s our motto.
