According to documents filed in Las Vegas Township Justice Court on Tuesday (which you can view here), landlord Metroflag Cable, LLC is seeking an eviction notice against Empire Ballroom. They got all touchy over a little unpaid rent. Well, $402,697.02 in allegedly unpaid rent, to be exact.
But, with the economic stimulus checks arriving, Empire could have that down to $402,097.02 in no time.
With a monthly nut of $67,530, it works out to around six months’ worth of unpaid rent. In April of last year, Empire and owner Daniel Makosky, among others, were named in a $250,000 breach of contract lawsuit in Nevada District Court. That $250,000 was the same amount as a security deposit that was recouped by the landlord against unpaid rent, leaving the $400,000-plus difference. Click for more words and pictures »

Empire Ballroom would feel very lonely if it was omitted from the porn star action during AVN week. Thankfully, two sexy parties held at the only freestanding nightclub on the Strip (across from the Monte Carlo) will ensure that doesn’t happen.
First up is the after-hours “Players Ball” on Friday, Jan. 11. Hosted by adult film stars Penny Flame and Taryn Thomas, the fete will feature music spun by DJs Rhinox and Casey Connor, the latter of which is an upcoming actor and singer, as well. Oh, and she’s hot. Meow.
The following night, “Pornstarville” takes over the Ballroom with DJ Jonathan Peters and, allegedly, 100 of the industry’s hottest porn stars. With girls on hand from such companies as ClubJenna, that might not just be braggadocio.
