CSI: The Experience broke out the good forensic chemical sets Saturday night for the police-tape cutting at MGM Grand. Cast members producers and executives including creator Anthony E. Zuiker, Eva Larue, Wallace Langham, Liz Vassey, David Berman, Robert David Hall, Eric Szmanda, Paul Guilfoyle, Jorja Fox, George Eads and Marg Helgenberger all turned up. To celebrate, the cast broke out the black light and swept the exhibit for semen.

Oh, it’ll be an experience … in crime. YEAEEAAHHH!

Have you ever been shooting dice and realized what you really wanted to be doing was exploring a forensics lab? Of course you have. It’s as common as playing blackjack while secretly fantasizing about enrolling in clown college.

Well hold on there, Skippy, your prayers have been answered. CSI: The Experience is coming to MGM Grand this summer with not one, not two, but three crime scenes for amateur sleuths to work for clues — “A House Collided” (about two trailer parks that come unhitched and crash — with hilarious results); “Who Got Served?” (about an escalating ‘snaps’ contest that ends with hilarious results, also murder); and “No Bones About It” (in which a serial killer removes the skeletal system of his victims — with hilarious results).

After a hard day of dusting for fingerprints, looking for fibers and testing blood patterns, “investigators” will retire to one of two crime labs to put their evidence to work. Then they’ll have to file mountains of tedious paperwork and be yelled at by a desk sergeant who may or may not demand they turn in their gun and badge. It’s widely rumored David Caruso will repeat his solid decision-making vis a vis his career and leave CSI: Miami to come sell tickets to The Experience.

Should CSI: The Experience prove effective, other casinos are expected to eyeball Lethal Weapon: The Experience, which features interactive crime scenes “The Quasi-Suicidal Cop” and “The I’m Getting Too Old for This Shit.
