Bust out your boy, Rudolf!
Kevin Rudolf is a failure as a co-artist. Here Lil Wayne went and made him a star with his guest spot in “Let it Rock,” and how does Rudolf repay him? He lets Weezy rot in a New York jail on a trumped-up gun charge. A real friend would be down there with a delicious pineapple-upside-down-file cake. Or dynamiting out a wall and hauling it clear on his horse with a rope tied to the bars. At least we assume escaping from modern prison is exactly like Yosemite Sam busting out of jail. Anyway, Rudolf is at Blush inside Wynn Las Vegas for the record release of his new single “I Made It.” Click for more words and pictures »

They get paid to play with My Little Ponies. It’s like our childhood dream come true. (Photo by Al Powers)
Freddy’s Dead and The Craft star Breckin Meyer helped celebrate Seth Green’s belated birthday and their Robot Chicken return Saturday night with a group of 15 others. They started with dinner at Society before retiring to Blush where they partied until 2 a.m.
Meyer and Green have a production company with Ryan Phillippe who couldn’t come to the party because he’s just famous enough that he can’t spend his weekends with guys who make old toys do fart jokes for a living. Not that he’s better than toy/fart jokes. It’s just that he spent Sunday night trying to get Sandra Bullock to let him in her Oscar party by hanging outside the gate and screaming “Sandy? You remember Crash? I was in that with you. C’mon Sandy. I played one of the cops. Please? … I loved The Net.“

Will be playing Conan O’Brien in Late Shift 2.
Seth Green hosts at Blush inside Wynn Las Vegas for a Robot Chicken party. Ladies receive free Champagne from 11 p.m. to midnight, which is the most misguided promotion we’ve ever heard. It should be that emotionally stunted dudes get a free Dr. Doom action figure from 11 to midnight. And we’re just using that as an example, not because we’re trying to talk someone into giving away free toys. (We’re totally trying to talk someone into giving away free toys.) Sweet. Congas. Now that Santana/house mash-up can finally get done.
Blush at Wynn Las Vegas brings in Frank Richards and Freddy B tonight for House Wednesdays. As DJ names go, we’ve gotta say that one sounds a lot like a ’50s sitcom dad. Actually, that could kind of work. DJ Ward Cleaver. Or DJ DadFromMyThreeSons. Quick! Someone get us a MacBook Pro and a subscription to Beatport! Click for more words and pictures »

Don’t say anything in front of the competitors, but we’re pretty sure this broad is a lock.

Kourtney Kardashian hosted a party for her fashion line, Dash, Friday night at Jet inside The Mirage along with babydaddy Scott Disick, who took a page out of the Christian Bale playbook before he got dressed Friday night. Look at him. You can tell he agonized over his business cards before he settled on “bone.”
Over at XS, Ryan Seacrest dropped by for a stop at the owner’s table after having dinner next door at Botero. Also at the Encore spot were Tony Davolani of Dancing with the Stars and Full Throttle Saloon owner Michael Ballard. The Raiders’ Kirk Morrison came by to say hello to them. Ballard went with dinner at Botero, while Davolani saw Le Reve and ate at Sinatra.
Hines Ward had dinner at Nove Italiano inside the Palms before heading up to the Playboy Club, and then moved it over to Rain where the Rev. Run was on stage during Revolution. We saw someone rocking a Jam Master Jay at MAGIC last week, which was completely awesome, and makes it even more sad and poignant that Run was in full-on Adidas for his show. Now, if you’ll excuse us, we pretty much have to go listen to Raising Hell right now. Click for more words and pictures »

Was he necking with a clown before his set? (Photos by Denise Truscello)
Crue drummer Tommy Lee brought his girlfriend, German-born singer Sofia Toufa, to Blush at Wynn Las Vegas last night for the King Baby Studio grand opening afterparty. Apparently they don’t have a word in German for “Hep C.”
Lee was playing a drum machine and doing video mixes while DJ Aero worked the turntables for a crowd that included King Baby owner Mitchell Binder, skater Danny Way, DJ Scotty Boy and blues guitarist SmittyonSteel. By the end of his set, Lee had moved on from downing Cape Cods to chugging Veuve from the bottle. He wrapped up his set around 1 a.m.
Of course, working a drum machine and a video mixer sounds like it’s a lot to do with just two hands. Then again, we’re not going to tell you what he was using to play the drum machine.

We’d actually be OK if we never had the thought of Tommy Lee feeding us anything again. (Photo by Scott Berry)
Maker of fine heavy, skull-y jewelry King Baby does his Project afterparty tonight at Blush inside Wynn Las Vegas with Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, working with DJ Aero on their House Wednesday mix. There is no way that shouldn’t end with an electro remix of “Kickstart My Heart,” but then again, we weren’t consulted on these things. We’re never consulted, and we should totally be consulted. Your hostess for the evening.
Finally, someone’s doing something about the terrible dearth of bangs and flowers in the hair at our city’s precious nightclubs. Blush at Wynn Las Vegas is offering up $2,500 for the top three pin-up girls tonight. But wait, the retro infomercial said, there’s more. Another 50 girls will receive gift bags to Bettie Page Clothing. Now if only Carl Perkins could make it, too. Click for more words and pictures »

See, DJs? Growing out the beard could put you in a whole new class. (Photo by Ash Hopkins)
Blush at Wynn Las Vegas does the Third Annual Puma Kick-Off tonight with Steve Aoki. In the realm of heavily bearded guys who deal with a lot of sound editing software, Aoki has to rank right up there with Rick Rubin, right? To be fair, it’s a field of exactly two, but that totally counts for something, doesn’t it? Click for more words and pictures »
