Ke$ha hit Pure last night for the club’s eight-year anniversary by raiding Stevie Nicks’ closet and getting on stage around 2 a.m. She started with “Blow” before going into “Tik Tok” and “Die Young” while confetti bombs went off and she kept time on gold drums. Because Ke$ha, that’s why.
In club years, that makes Pure like 50–which is a remarkable testament to its staying power when most of them don’t last half as long. Though in terms of talentless pop singers, Ke$ha’s career is positively Dylan-esque in terms of longevity at this point. There are fruit flies that live longer than her career should’ve.
