Specifically, they’re looking for a Question Mark & The Mysterians cover band.
Burgeoning fall downtown music festival Life is Beautiful is going to be combing the ranks of local musicians for a spot on the festival bill. The good news for you, person who is not in a local band and therefore has no dog in the hunt, is that they’ll be putting on a series of showcases, for free, where you can kick back and do what you do best: Drink and be judgmental.
With the first showcase kicking off at 8 p.m. Feb. 6 at Artifice, Rusty Maples, American Cream, Same Sex Mary, Coastwest Unrest, Play for Keeps and The Perks will rock it out for a chance to be featured in the fest. Future showcase sessions will be announced at various venues around downtown. Our legendary 4 a.m. recorder concerts in the parking lot of Main Street Station aren’t technically part of this series, but we imagine it’s only a matter of time.
