Mike Tyson’s stage bow went off on Saturday at MGM Grand’s Hollywood Theater with an influx of celebs, from boy-banders to famous pimps. And if you’re going to drum up interest in your show, “famous pimp” is the way to go.
Bishop Don “Magic” Juan was right there with Rosie O’Donnell, Piers Morgan, George Lopez, Sugar Ray Leonard, Paula Abdul, Al B. Sure, Carrot Top, Andrew Dice Clay, Melissa Manchester, Jeff Timmons, Zab Judah, Rasheda Ali and the Vegas headliner all-star red carpet squad: the Fantasy girls, the Thunder from Down Under dudes, Chris Phillips, the Human Nature guys, Frank Marino. No Evander Holyfield? There definitely should have been some Real Deal up in that piece. And where was Buster Douglas? He can’t possibly have been busy.
After the show, Tyson hit up Tabu with wife Kiki, Leonard, Juan, and Joe Jackson. So, three other people who have employed punching as a professional technique, then? The go-gos were dressed like boxers with Tyson face tats which is … sexually confusing, at best.
