Candy cane girl, don’t you know your name, girl?

Why does Christmas rule so thoroughly? End-of-the-year drunken abandon. Well, that and tinsel, because tinsel is the bo-o-o-o-mb, but mostly it’s the end-of-the-year drunken abandon.

Thoroughly encouraging that side of Yuletide is the shot glass o’ Christmas cheer at Rock & Rita’s inside Circus Circus, the Candy Cane Shooter. The nice thing about this one is it’s easily replicable for all your house-party needs. It’s equal parts Baileys and Rumple Minze, a little grenadine for candy cane-striping color, and crushed canes on the rim and sprinkled on top.

Simple. Easy. Potent.

“We came out here late one night when it was slow and started mixing stuff together. Peppermint schnapps was kind of the basis of it,” General Manager David Rosborough said. “Me and the bartender on duty mixed a bunch of stuff around peppermint schnapps, and this just happened to work.”

It’s exactly what you expect it to be — a little creamy, a lot minty and with that souped up Rumple burn that’ll take you immediately back to bad high school experiences. Or awesome high school experiences. Either way.
