Solid weekend for Tito Ortiz, who not only celebrated his 35th birthday at Lavo with wife Jenna Jameson after watching the Super Bowl yesterday, but also spent Saturday night after UFC 109 adding insult to injury for Mark Coleman after his loss to Randy Couture.

It’s a classy move, but then, we suppose the UFC isn’t exactly the top hat-and-monocle set. (Note to self: Call Dana White re: Extreme Top Hat-and-Monocle Cagefighting league.)

Elsewhere in the weekend in UFC, Dana White and Chuck Liddell were hanging out at Wasted Space on Friday where they gave away 60 tickets to the Saturday fight at Mandalay Bay. This is exactly why Gary Bettman couldn’t get casual fans back after the NHL lockout. He wasn’t personally appearing in Toronto bars and handing out tickets.

After the fight on Saturday, Tao had the official afterparty where Rashad Evans and Rachelle Leah hosted. Fighters Melvin Guillard, Urijah Faber and Mark Munoz all turned up. Flavor Flav was also there, while Jon Stewart had dinner earlier in the evening. Good God, we hope that means we get Flav on The Daily Show to, we don’t know, talk about health care reform or something.

Liddell had dinner at N9NE Steakhouse Saturday night while White was at a separate table. Dodgers GM Ned Colletti and the Mets’ Gary Matthews were also in. Matthews and his crew of five others went upstairs to Moon afterward.

Finally, UFC ref Herb Dean got the ball rolling on $225-per-snifter AsomBroso tequila at Hussong’s Cantina at Mandalay Bay after the fight. This is going to add a great dimension to Extreme Top Hat-and-Monocle Cagefighting, with refs sauced on high-end hooch.
