Man, supergroups you guys. You know, like … Damn Yankees. And Asia. And Velvet Rev– you know what? Let’s not talk about “supergroups” per se. Um. Hey, look, half of Van Halen! Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony, along with Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and virtuoso guitarist Joe Satriani — collectively, Chickenfoot — were at The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel Saturday night.

The band, minus Satriani, got together the night before at the Cabo Wabo opening to bang out a couple of Zeppelin tunes. Incidentally, when Hagar brought out Smith, he introduced him as Will Ferrell and, even though there’s a resemblance, way, way too many people kept asking each other if they knew that the guy from Anchorman was that good at drums.
