Please don’t be a Mark Prior-esque bust. We’re begging you.

Man, you know what the rest of the country hates? When the Yankees win the World Series. It’s pretty awesome. So thank you, Joba Chamberlain, for helping to keep the country bathed in simmering rage — until the Lakers or Cowboys win something, at least.

Chamberlain was at XS inside Enclore Friday night with former teammate Jason Giambi — who must’ve hooked him up with that Vanity hat he’s wearing — and back again on Saturday. Also at XS was Cops creator/executive producer John Langley. That had to be uncomfortable for Chamberlain. He was probably checking the door all night for cameras and a patrol car. Although in the grand tradition of Steve Howe, we really don’t care as long as he can start bringing that 95-plus mph fastball through seven innings as a starter.

The pitcher wasn’t the only Yankee in town, though. First baseman Mark Teixiera and his wife had dinner at N9NE Steakhouse inside the Palms Saturday, where Dana White was also having dinner. Actor Vince Colosimo was up at Moon. Tash and E-Swift from The Alkaholiks joined Z-Trip on stage Friday night at Rain.
