Still getting used to Vdara? Too bad. As the behemoth comes to life, Crystals, the sprawling, 500,000-square-foot shopping complex that fronts the Strip along the northeast edge of the campus, cuts the ribbon this morning.

There’s a private charity shopping event from noon to 5 p.m., and then Eva Longoria Parker hits the red carpet at 6 p.m. for her Beso/Eve Latin steakhouse (and Todd English joint)/nightclub nestled in the corner of Crystals closest to Aria with an outdoor patio looking over the ballyhooed pocket park that features Henry Moore’s Reclining Connected Forms.
