1113FRI: THE ROUNDUP

DJ Skribble: Veteran of bad ’90s dancing.
Veteran of The Grind and Total Request Live, DJ Skribble spins at Jet inside The Mirage for the first time tonight. Good God, The Grind. Only MTV could have a ’90sed-out dance show that came with its own corresponding workout video. The ’90s were the last great decade of unselfconscious ridiculousness. Our most ridiculous exports as a decade, Kanye and Gaga, have way too much of a knowing wink behind everything they do. We need to steer away from all this self-aware absurdism we’ve had in the last 10 years because we could all use a hearty laugh at Eric Nies expense again.
