BRADY CANCELS REST OF SHOWS IN ’09

Birthday PowerPoint presentation? (Photo by Radiant Photography)
Turns out Newton isn’t the only Wayne in town with shot vocal cords.
Wayne Brady, who was on hiatus from Making It Up at The Venetian during October (although he’s still hosting Let’s Make a Deal) and now he’s bowing out of the rest of his Venetian shows through the end of the year — under the advice of physicians cautioning he give his voice time to heal.
The canceled dates will be rescheduled and will extend Making It Up through the end of next year. Exchanges and refunds are available at the point of purchase. Apparently The Venetian didn’t want to exercise the controversial Colin Mochrie Clause in Brady’s contract that would have allowed the Who’s Line Is It Anyway? veteran to fill in. Something about “We want to sell more than six tickets” and “The theater would be filled with dirty Canadians.” We don’t know. We weren’t really paying attention.
