ESPN got its hands on some video of Nelly, Jermaine Dupri and Adam “Pacman” Jones inside Minxx the night of the 2007 shooting there, and it’s not without its own set of delightful highlights. First, you have two ESPN newscasters struggling with a super-serious reading of “make it rain.” Then you have Nelly holding a stack of $1 bills wagging his finger at the camera, but best of all, you have Dupri, who got on the mic to deliver these little words of wisdom:

Listen, we will show y’all how to make it rain. I’m Jermaine Dupri, right? Y’all up here to dance. Don’t bend down and try to get your money. Alright? Don’t start gettin’ the money ’til I tell y’all to get off the stage. Y’all just keep fuckin’ dancing.”

Oh man, that’s gorgeous. First of all, yelling at strippers for diving at money is like yelling at puppies for being so damn adorable. Second, take this as a lesson. When you’re going to commandeer a strip club mic, always announce who you are, as long as you masterminded “You Make Me Wanna.” Of course Diamondine on Stage Six is going to pay attention to the dude who produced a couple Usher records.

No wonder Dupri and Janet Jackson are splitsville. (Incidentally, good PR move having a friend explain your absence from the Michael Jackson memorial because you “don’t do funerals.” When we don’t want to admit to the public the rocky nature of our relationships, we find it’s much better to sound like the most self-important jagoff in the history of jagoffs. Also, don’t invite Jermaine Dupri to a wedding if you don’t want him to punch the bride in the boobs and light the church on fire. He’ll grudgingly go to a Bat Mitzvah, but he will insist on throwing ham at the rabbi.)

You can catch Dupri on the turntables at Prive tonight inside Planet Hollywood Resort. But if you accidentally drop a $20 on the ground and he’s looking right at you, just let it go.
