BT brings the Laptop Symphony to Rain’s Perfecto at the Palms tonight. Did you know BT went to Berklee? That’s kind of cool now, but it’ll seem really common in 30 years when Berklee is offering courses in crossfading and stuffing samples of “Hypnotize” on your MacBook. DJ Ruff does the opening set and Steve Castro does the closing set. Click for more words and pictures »

Jeremy Jackson is excited to do this.
Jeremy Jackson is on hand at Prive inside Planet Hollywood Resort to host the wrap party for Confessions of a Teen Idol, a show that saw him spend several weeks palling around with Jason “Fred Savage is way too busy for this gig” Hervey from The Wonder Years. It’s just half of the VH1tastic parties going on, with Tool Academy girlfriends Jenna Fenton, Cameron Adams and Karine Breedwill hosting at Jet inside The Mirage. Click for more words and pictures »

To be fair, he’s really good at tennis.
Wes Anderson’s favorite of the Wilson brothers, Luke Wilson, was at Tryst inside Wynn Las Vegas last night. Just don’t ever mention it around Anderson because he’d never admit after what Owen did the last time Aderson hinted he liked Idiocracy better than Wedding Crashers.
We’re pretty sure this also means Bill Murray has to be lurking around somewhere. Someone go stick their head in XS and see if there’s a guy in there with a proton pack. Other than Ernie Hudson, we mean. He’s always there.
Also at Tryst, at separate tables, were Barry Manilow, and Kansas City running backs Larry Johnson and Jamaal Charles.

Perry Farrell is at LAX inside Luxor tonight for a live performance and DJ set. Shouldn’t Farrell be getting ready for the tour Jane’s Addiction is playing with Nine Inch Nails? Which, by the way, is one Body Count appearance away from being a Lollapalooza 1991 reunion. Which would be kind of awesome, because we missed out on it the first time, and then next thing you know, Ice-T is hanging out with magicians.

Remember kids: Drunk pics of you on the internet never die!
Ghostbar at the Palms has been the destination of choice for members of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was there Wednesday night and guard Darnell Stapleton held down the fort last night. Both guys were drinking Grey Goose and … Hypnotiq. A little girlie for the Super Bowl champs, but then again, we didn’t get beaten by linebackers for 19 games, either.
Roethlisberger continues the Super Bowl celebration tonight at Tao inside The Venetian. This is a week after Willie Parker was hosting over at Rok, so we’re pretty sure there’s not anyone actually left in Pittsburgh right now. Someone should check on that.

We do applaud their zeppelin-based advertising efforts.
M Resort has done something that’s a rarity right now: Complete a new casino in Las Vegas. Nestled down where St. Rose Parkway meets Las Vegas Boulevard, the resort opens Sunday at 10 p.m. Get there a few minutes early for the fireworks because, well, fireworks are never not awesome.
The resort has set itself up as a one-stop-shopping destination that even includes a pharmacy, which is convenient if you’re on vacation with a nasty prescription drug habit and a shady doctor back home. Room rates are following the current trend of being obscenely cheap. We’re seeing $54 on a lot of weeknights and $74 on weekends, so it’s in line with some of the other newer off-Strip properties.
Henderson Mayor James Gibson will cut the ribbon at 5:15 p.m. ahead of the public opening.

Free beer + mechanical bull = high comedy.
In this week’s sign of economic armageddon, Stoney’s North Forty — the expansion Stoney’s at Santa Fe Station — is starting up Free Beer Fridays. Draft beer is free from 7:30 p.m. until midnight. There’s still a $5 cover to get in the joint, but this is basically a frat party kegger in an actual bar. Except without freshman girls passing out after their third Keystone.
Lots of discounts and happy hours have been popping up, and a lot of places have had limited open bar for a couple hours at a time, but this is the first extended, regular beer blowout we’ve heard about. It’s nice to know that when the bread lines are wrapped around three blocks, we’ll all still be able to get tanked on the cheap.

Hank Williams III brings his schizophrenic show to the House of Blues inside Mandalay Bay tonight at 7 p.m. with Those Poor Bastards. Williams starts out with an old-school country set before returning to the stage with Assjack, the band’s metal alter ego (with some lineup tweaks). Just for good measure, they do a killer cover of Johnny Cash’s “Cocaine Blues” in the first set.
We saw a Hank III show years ago where a crowd of nice, old folks thought they were just going to see Hank Williams’ grandson play some of that nice, old country music. When it came time for the Assjack half of the show, old people were running out of there faster than they would if the nursing home was on fire. You can’t put a price on that kind of comedy.
