CATHOUSE MIXES AND MATCHES

There had to be a nationwide silicone shortage for a month when they were making those things.
Luxor’s CatHouse had former Baywatch and Surreal Life star Traci Bingham last night as promised, but what no one was counting on was U.S. Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings coming in for dinner. Really though, screw it. If we were in the Bush administration and knew the gig ran out on Jan. 20, we’d be out having a few drinks too. It’s not like she’s going to fix the school system in the next month and a half. Someone else’s problem now.
Spellings was there for her birthday, along with her security detail, CatHouse partner Seth Yudof, his sister, U.S. Press Secretary for the Department of Education Samara Yudof, and staff. The group ate grilled figs, pigs in a duvet, oysters, arancine with lemon risotto, black pepper chicken wings, braised beef short ribs, farfalle and lamb curry with Israeli cous cous and a red velvet birthday cake courtesy of Kerry Simon. She was so excited she declared that geometry was no longer a branch of mathematics. The gig comes with that kind of power. Look it up.
Back to more typical Vegas fare, Bingham was joined by Criss Angel and Anthony Cools. What do you think the secretary of education thinks when she looks across the room at Traci Bingham? Does she just shake her head and try to avoid eye contact, or does she try to figure out a plan to get more girls into science that she can leave for her successor?
