The first plan to flood Blush and have the ‘swim’ portion there didn’t work so well. (Photo by Eric Ita | SpyOnVegas.com)
The second half of the SwimSleep party at Blush inside Wynn Las Vegas. The “swim” half of the festivities was today at the pool while the second annual sleepover is inside the club. We’re not telling you not to wear your water wings to the club, we’re just saying the club might not be awesome enough to handle it. Click for more words and pictures »

We can’t go on together with suspicious credit markets. (Used by permission, Elvis Presley Enterprises)
Dave McKee reports that an SEC filing reveals that FX Real Estate’s proposed Elvis-themed casino south of Planet Hollywood isn’t going to get off the ground. Quoth the filing:
As a result of the dislocation and turbulence in the capital markets, the Company is reviewing its originally proposed program for the redevelopment of its Las Vegas properties. While no definitive determination has been made by the Company, it is unlikely that the program originally proposed will be undertaken.”
Now we’re going to just have to slink home and watch King Creole on DVD for the hundreth time to get our Elvis fix. We were really looking forward to playing chuck-a-chuck-a-burnin’-luck, too.

For our money, the best James Earl Jones-voiced cartoon since Cinderella.
With Mamma Mia! wrapping up its run at Mandalay Bay Jan. 4, the ABBA-shaped hole in your heart will be filled with Disney.
The Lion King is set to open May 2, joining the roster of productions already going on in New York, London, Hamburg, Paris, Tokyo and Fukuoka. In a move sure to please fans worldwide, the Las Vegas production of The Lion King will feature 100 percent less Whoopi Goldberg than the film.

What, no Tobias Funke?
The Las Vegas version of the Blue Man Group will do Dr. Phil’s show airing Thursday at 3 and 7 p.m. as part of an episode that shows how people can reduce stress. The answer, surprisingly, isn’t slathering one’s self in blue body paint, but instead focuses on how listening to drums can bring down your stress levels. This is why Keith Moon was so stress-free he could even vomit in his sleep.
Members of Dr. Phil’s audience were given two free tickets to the Blue Man show at The Venetian. Everyone’s stress level shot right back up when they were told there was a 30 percent chance of having to sit directly next to Dr. Phil for the performance.

They’re all going to laugh at you!
Bare at The Mirage tonight hosts the Fourth Annual Vegas Prom, which promises all the awkward excitement of your high school prom without having to actually pay a hobo to buy you booze. If you haven’t yet voted, it’s late (which is what your prom date said three weeks after the dance), but the results are here. Following the pool, the party moved over to Jet. Notorious ride pimper and star of Gridiron Gang Xzibit was at Tryst inside Wynn Las Vegas on Thursday night. Pimp My Ride has run six seasons, spawned both U.K. and international versions, led to a video game and has been the inspiration for several imitators, proving once and for all that the public’s insatiable demand for pimpin’ is limitless.
On Friday, Tryst drew Affliction owner Tom Atencio, while WWE wrestler David “Batista” Bautista was there on Saturday, continuing to sport the laziest nickname in professional athletics since Mordecai Brown.

This is the kind of photogenic presence that lands you Into the Blue 2.
Audrina Patridge of The Hills set up shop at Wet Republic inside MGM Grand Saturday afternoon with her sister, Casey, in one of the bungalos. Between jumping in the pool and eating Mongolian chicken skewers, Patridge took the time to greet fans and pose for pictures, letting some of them come into the VIP area. How many of those people were just looking for Patridge to vouch for them to take over her old room in Laren Conrad’s house is uncertain.

Is — is that Uncle Phil from The Fresh Prince? Admittedly, we’ve never actually seen Chuck (Photo by Scott Harrison | Retna)
Zach Levi was a busy little superspy this weekend with a birthday celebration Friday night and the Chuck Season Two premiere celebration Saturday. We’re in agreement, right? The combination of premise/show name will make this series the go-to punchline in five years for hacky comics who missed the MacGyver boat, correct?
Levi, the titular Chuck, did his birthday at LAX inside Luxor with friends Amy Adams and Joel David Moore along with castmembers Yvonne Strahovski, Josh Gomez, Sarah Lancaster, Scott Krinsky, Ryan McPartlin.
On Saturday at Pure inside Caesars Palace, that crew was joined by JD Nicholas, Marc C. Lawrence, Julia Ling and producers McG and Chris Fedak. McG is working on the new Terminator installment with Christian Bale, and is expected to do for that franchise what he did for beloved ’70s television icon Charlie’s Angels. Ruin it. Are we crazy, or does Sam look like she’s rocking a shoulder holster there?
You might know her as the chick who’s dating Lindsay Lohan, but Samantha Ronson will forever be the DJ who launched DailyFiasco to us. We know that’s the real reason Ronson was back in town — she missed us too much.
Regardless of her motivation, Ronson did a turn at Perfecto Saturday night at the Palms’ Rain. Prior to the show, she and Lohan dined at N9NE Steakhouse, pausing dinner to go say hello to Cary Hart and Tal Cooperman who were dining at a nearby table. Ronson and Lohan stuck to Shirley Temples for the night. Lohan and several friends had a table behind the DJ booth where she stayed until 1 a.m. Ronson, who had plenty of smack laid on her over the weekend, hung out longer after her set, not calling it a night until 4 a.m.
Also at N9NE Saturday night was Young Jeezy. Hart made a quick 40-minute trip to Moon, where Jeezy was celebrating his birthday at four roped-off tables that included Khloe Kardashian and a black and white American flag cake. Minnesota Timberwolves forward Corey Brewer was at the club with his girlfriend and three others until around 3 a.m. The cast of Sunset Tan also turned up. Which was good, as it was a Sunset Tan weekend at the Palms. If the cast of, say, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia turned up, that just would’ve been confusing.
