Local model Sara Stokes celebrates both her birthday and the release of Playboy’s Hot Housewives special, of which she has the cover. So all in all, it’s a banner August for those of us who enjoy both cake and nudity. Which is to say, all of us. The shindig gets going at Planet Hollywood Resort’s Torrid, where Stokes will autograph 150 copies of the cover for fans. You’ll probably have to ask nicely if you want cake, though.

• Ovation at Green Valley Ranch has Steel Panther at 11:30 p.m.
• Diablo’s Cantina at Monte Carlo starts with the Sin City Sinners and finishes with DJ Que, starting at 9 p.m.
• Gipsy (4633 Paradise Road) does Oh Snap! at 11 p.m.
• Jillian’s (450 Fremont St.) brings in Verbatym, Red Hot Radio, The Direct Method and When You Wake at 6 p.m.
