DAUGHTRY ROCKS OUT — KIND OF

Who’s more tortured as an artist, Daughtry or Ed Kowalczyck?
Chris Daughtry took a break from writing his next big hit that sounds kind of like a Nickleback song, but not as rockin’, to put his American Idol-approved pipes to use at Revolution Lounge inside The Mirage last night for charity.
Daughtry and company raised $20,000 in seven days for the ONE Campaign to fight AIDS and poverty worldwide. Will.i.am, who will be back at Revolution tonight, and apl.de.ap from the Black Eyed Peas were there, as was Live frontman Ed Kowalczyck.
Kowalczyck and Daughtry came together on stage to do “I Walk the Line” in a two-man whirlwind of bald fury the likes of which hasn’t been seen since Telly Savalas and Patrick Stewart joined up to do a very plaintive, very serious version of “A Boy Named Sue.”
