INK AND ROCK MAKE FOR STARRY OPENING

Musicians, actors and porn stars turned out in droves to celebrate the opening of Mario Barth’s Starlight Tattoo at House of Blues inside Mandalay Bay on Saturday night. It was a full-on rock ‘n’ roll evening, from the music on stage to the tattooed and pierced denizens of the crowd.
The stage in the House of Blues Courtyard – aside from the B-list glam-rock bands – hosted some interesting pairings: Dave Navarro teamed with DJ Skribble and emcee J Mello for a live collaboration they’ll repeat at a private party on Feb. 29 at LAX. Everlast – almost fully gray and paunchy – was joined by Cypress Hill’s DJ Muggs, with whom the former House of Pain rapper has worked with before. And porn queen Tera Patrick introduced The Spyderz, the metal band fronted by her husband, Evan Seinfeld.
A circus atmosphere pervaded the proceedings with sideshow acts, including suspension artists such as Lukas Zpira. But the real circus was on the floor and in the VIP area of the venue, which drew more famous – and bizarre – faces than we can count: Static X drummer and local Nick Oshiro, former Crazy Town leader Shifty Shellshock, producer David Weintraub, Ice-T (celebrating his 50th birthday!) and his wife, Nicole “CoCo” Austin, Ja Rule, Rob “Don’t Call Me Vanilla Ice” Van Winkle, Fab 5 Freddy, Miss Nevada USA Veronica Grabowski, Chef Rahman “Rock” Harper, alt-porn maverick Joanna Angel, actor Chuck Zito, actress Marsha Thomason, celebrity stylist Phillip Bloch, Vivica A. Fox, mob daughter Victoria Gotti and magician Criss Angel, who lately looks like he’s auditioning for a spot with the Hell’s Angels (about which Zito knows plenty).
We’re exhausted after just typing that. Look at pretty pictures instead:
