You have to wonder if the word “zone” in the name of a restaurant keeps it from being taken seriously, kind of like having the last name “Hilton.”

The new Tropical-themed Hawaiian Tropic Zone at the Miracle Mile Shopes inside Planet Hollwood Resort & Casino features bikini-adorned servers who double as swimsuit models on the restaurant’s in-house catwalk, so we don’t think restaurateur Dennis Riese minds if you don’t take his latest creation seriously anyway — just so long as you have fun.

The venue holds its grand opening party this Friday night at 8 p.m. for invited guests. We don’t know who these invited guests are, but if you are not one of them, run to your window and scream, “I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take this anymore” until someone cares. The rest of us will be joining Riese, celebrity chef David Burke and a bunch of other nuts at “The Zone” to enjoy food, booze and live entertainment from The Forbidden World of Don Tiki, Steven Van Zandt’s The Chesterfield Kings and the sexy, alluring Hawaiian Tropic Zone Dancers.
