Downtown skinny-jeans mecca Beauty Bar is offering up some hot music to keep you hip kids warm this winter. First up is a Punk Rock Bowling after-party on Friday, Jan. 18 that brings punk bands The Generators and Mad Marge and the Stonecutters together with the Babes in Sin Burlesque troupe for a night of drunken sexiness. The shenanigans get underway at 11 p.m., and it’ll cost ya $10, unless you show up with a Punk Rock Bowling ticket — then it’s only $5.

Then on Saturday, Jan. 26, electro-wave sex animals Punk Bunny descend upon Beauty Bar to celebrate the release of their new CD, Take it!, which features surefire hits such as “F**k It, Then S**k It” and “Just the Tip.” Yes, just like last night. For $5, expect nothing short of a soft porn performance on stage (think Jenna Jameson meets ABBA), and, hopefully, in the audience as well. Participation is highly encouraged.
